Former Reds closer turned Jays self implosion artist, Francisco Cordero hasn't been much better....everytime he comes in the game you can bet that he'll get rocked, and he always leaves the game with a higher ERA then when he started.

He's cost the Jays at least 6 or so games this year, worst pickup by far.

The guys been prety damn good for you. Your closer is not the problem.

Eh...have you seen the Mets closer...you know the guy who closed for you last season? He's been pretty brutal for the most part.

Yeah any closer who's ever played for the Jays in the last 19 years is most likely a useless commodity (BJ Ryan, Francisco, Gregg, Miguel Batista, Jason Frasor....just to name a few).

Duane Ward and Tom Henke were our last star closers (in 92, 93)...any then we won back to back World Series Championships with them.

Brian McCann just delivered a huge eff-you shot to the Phillies fans/bullpen, a grand slam in the 8th to break a scoreless ballgame, after Chipper Jones stretched a 1-2 count into a walk (all with two outs). Brian kinda overextended on his swing a bit as the ball came over the plate; it looked like he mostly arm-strengthed it over the fence in near-straightaway-center. Monster slam.

Kid is mashing the ball so far....4 HR 9 RBI in only 10 games. Maybe the Cubs have found their savior as they're 7 and 3 in their last 10 with Rizzo in the lineup.

I know there is a lot of season left to be played (especially after what occurred last year), but it looks like the Yanks have that division wrapped up. Their schedule for the rest of the month seems like a piece of cake. The toughest team they face is Bal at the end of the month, and let's face it BAL doesn't really invoke feelings of

It's 13-2 Pirates. Lincecum went 3.1 innings giving up 6 runs on 7 hits. McCutchen is killing it again today with 2 HR, 4 RBI's.

They need to send Lincecum to the minors or something. He's completely lost it. It has to be mental with this guy.

At the time it seemed they were lowballing him but Lincecum only getting a 2 year $23 mill deal seems good for the Giants in hindsight. I think he has one year left on the deal. Guess they gave the long-term deal to the right guy in Cain.

Lincecum's deal is 2 years/$40.5 million and expires after next season. The contract he signed in 2010 was 2 years/$24 million. The Giants wanted to sign Lincecum to a long-term deal but he wasn't interested and wanted to sign a shorter deal to keep his options open.

So I started getting a little of the warm and fuzzies for Harper after beating the giants , but now I listen to him on a new interview and you can just tell he oozes ego, even trying to be a good person you can just hear if this guy has like 30 homers for a few seasons I bet we see a ton of ego come out.
