In fact the romance helped to balance out the brutal Pearl Harbor attack scene.

Anybody "experience" this flick with D-BOX?

Shouldve walked into this movie the moment the bombs dropped and walked out 30-40mins later.

One of the few movies I found myself checking my watch, waiting for something interesting to happen. It was a feeling of blah blah uninteresting characters blah blah bad acting blah blah OH! OH! Japanese planes are taking off...THANK GOD! then blah blah more of the same.

Sure it sounds great and looks great on Blu...but I'll pass.

The romance would have been fine if they titled it something else, just like another famous movie did (if I name it then ill give away the ending, you know the one with the kissing scene while the waves crash over them).

I agree with this as well. I felt the same way about Titanic to be honest.

Maybe it's not a spoiler, but it really surprised me when I watched it the first time.

Have to admit Pearl Harbour is a bit of a guilty pleasure but until criterion do it justice with the special edition it so deserves I'll be giving this vanilla release a miss.

I liked it too, but thats not just cause I'm a Bay fan.

Wish they would release the R rated Directors cut onto Blu Ray. That's the commentary for it is on the Directors Cut.

Any hopes for Bay's director's cut to be released on Blu-ray?

Did anyone else notice this in the movie:

When Ben got shot down by the German it was day time. When he comes up for air out of the water it's night.

Did he hold his breath for an hour or more?
He carried SCUBA gear in his Spitfire.

Michael Bay's worst movie, imho.

He tried too hard to make something special...his strengths are in action.
Harry Potter is Twilight with Wizards and Magic.

Wanted to watch this movie last week but, none of my 3 blu ray players(Oppo, LG, Samsung) would load it or play it. They all have current software. My blu ray copy is from when it originally came out on blu ray w no scratches on the back. Any suggestions or phone to call for possible exchange?

Tia,

Ian B

I would like to see this for 9.99 during U&S

I too will watch once a year and for 4.99 it is worth it. I agree with the poster that said MB tried too hard on this one.

This was the only movie I ever walked out on. Sure, I've been to others where I'd be looking at my watch, and hoping the film would end soon.

But Pearl Harbor, wow...unwatchable in it's awfulness.
