You mean we haven't already with Super Mari Bros, Prince of Persia, Resident Evil etc
I think this might be the movie that we actually like to show as how video games should be done when turned into movies. RE for all the financial success has been a total flop in how faithful it was to the source material. I hope this follows much more closely to the game story and style.

As a huge fan of the game franchise, I had always hoped for a big-budget, all-star, film version. The story is vastly entertaining, rich in historical interest and would lend itself well to making several films. Michael Fassbender is HUGE and his combination of acting and athletic ability makes him a terrific choice for Ezio or Altair. I can't wait to see how this turns out.

This is the third thread with this news in the past week
I don't know anything about the franchise, so I'm only interested in this because of his involvement Edit: But I notice this is the only one thread that actually has the title of the project in the...well, title. Last edited by CoopFilm; 07-11-2012 at 07:25 PM. |

being Assassins Creed is my favorite franchise, i was so over the moon when Michael Fassbender was attached to produce and star in the adaptation, loved him in Shame, X-Men and Basterds and his performance in Prometheus was the highlight of the film, even his couple of lines in 300 were epic lol! also Fassbender for next 007!

Hollywood isn't involved. Unbisoft set up shop for themselves after crap offers by the big studios. Just to let you guys n gals know, Fassbender isn't just starring in this, his company is actually producing this movie as well. That's the reason he most likely is getting involved with it as well tbh. It's going to be more lucrative for him that way while he acts and produces the movie and he obviously sees something in it.
Fassbender has perhaps only had one mis-step as an actor in recent memory and that is perhap Jonah Hex which most people probably don't even think he was in, so doubt it's going to do him much harm. Especially seeing as he redeemed himself very much through Magneto in X-men: First Class
