will we get a Die hard box set with all 5 die hard films with extres by next year. I was thinking of something like a 25th anniversary type of thing.

I'm sure we'll see all five in a set. However, I'm sure they'll just shove all the previous releases together and slap part five in there too. So really, if you want the movies now, I'd just buy them, considering the good prices. I want the uncut Live Free or Die Hard, but for some reason, I just see them being cheap and not releasing it on Blu. And I certainly see them being lazy enough to just shovel out the first three releases as well, rather than giving us new masters.

The UK has already announced new versions of the blu-ray's in January with bonus discs.

I realize swearing and vulgarity are not for everyone but a Die Hard movie just isn't right without it. I really liked part four, but I loved the unrated cut. I really think that's how movie should have been instead of watered down to the pg-13 rating.

I'd be so happy if we get a re-release with the unrated cut of part 4.

Heh. If only they'd actually shot Die Hard 4 for the R instead of shoehorning in the cursing and blood after the fact...

No one knows yet.

As far as the old releases, there is a ton of stuff missing from 1, nothing from 2, one VERY short segment from 3 and a bunchy of stuff from 4 (not to mention the UNrated version).

Then there's also the stuff from the boxed set, including some long documentaries.

There much more to be done with this series.
Hopefully we'll find out more soon.

It's "watered down" because it sells more tickets, plain and simple. With production costs at an all-time high, studios have to make their money back. That's just the way it is. I love Die Hard as much as the next guy, but to say it needs swearing to make it feel right is nonsense to me. Foul language doesn't add anything to the movie, doesn't change the plot or the characters... And remember, the unrated cut isn't the original cut... it has ADR that doesn't match the lips because they went back and added swearing later. It wasn't meant to be there in the first place, in some instances, and wasn't even shot that way.
