Sounds promising for the 3D.

Decent 3D? Would you say average or above average? I just re-watched Kung Fu Panda 2 again, and that had great 3D but not quite as great as Open Season 3D. Pixar movies tend to have good, but mostly average 3D IMO, to offer some possible Terra 3D comparisons.

Yes, I read about this years ago and wondered why it flopped, thanks for posting the info. I remember Delgo also, about the dragons, but never took the chance to see it.

I would say the 3d was way above average, really good. Depth was beautiful throughout and there were a few good pop out scenes.
There was a part in the final war scene
[Show spoiler]where the main character shoots two missiles from his star ship and it really looks like it's coming at you, showed some amazing depth and a teaser pop out.

As far as cgi animation, I would compare it to Sammy adventure in the way it was created, Sammy has good animation but not big budget like finding Nemo.
The story and 3d was good though, I have about 30 3d's and I would put it in my top 10 for sure. This truly is a sleeper and I'm surprised it hasn't been discussed among the 3d gurus. I don't feel I'm overrating it, I just plain enjoyed it and was happy to find another 3d movie worthy of being part of my collection.

Excellent price, I got over losing the $4 Makes me happy to see other jumping on it. The price for this movie is totally worth it. Check out the reviews on Amazon, 4 star average, majority giving it 5 stars and that's just on the movie itself http://www.amazon.com/Battle-Terra-B...owViewpoints=1

When i clicked this link it shows someone is already logged in with a name and address. Is this you ?

If so, this site seems to be highly insecure with the way they are giving away personal information.

Also I believe it was just the persons sites login, they don't keep your account info.

I know, I ordered mine before the coupon, too. I didn't even see it until a few hours later. Still cheaper than Amazon.de!

Yeah, free shipping too. Just got an email from them stating that it would be shipping from Switzerland, I'm guessing I won't have it for 2 weeks.

That sounds good. I'll consider this one.

I must admit, when I first went to watch this, the Animation put me off, all I will say is, don't let it. It turned out to be one of my favourite animation movies ever, the 3D is excellent and it has a storyline that most big studios would shy away from.

This movie was one of the very first I imported (along with Sammy) and though it's been more than a year since I've seen it I remember being very impressed by it. I believe the formula goes:

Lots of flying things + view from missiles + animation =

Movie itself was nothing original but my eyes just told my brain to stop thinking...

Received my copy a few days ago. I watched it and I must say, the 3D is great in this one. They did not spend very much time on developing the character models, but the environments had quite a bit of detail. It took me a little while to get used to the poor animation of the characters, but once I did I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story was pretty good, too. The premise is similar to Avatar, but it is still interesting.

Story: 3/5
3D: 3.5/5 Probably closer to 4/5
Enjoyment Factor: 4.5/5

Once again, the environments look great. There is a lot of detail in them, but the characters look like something from the mid-90s. They lack detail.
