If there's no U.S. listing in the next few days I'm just going to grab the Canadian pre-orders, and I'll order Re-Animator while I'm at it.

It was shown on MGM HD,around year and a half ago,and it looked good.I know that MGM remastered a great deal of movies for their HD chanel, and that not all of them look good enough for a Blu-ray (e.g.Kingpin and Mississippi Burning),but this one look particulary good.

I'm surprised Lifeforce isn't being released as well, particularly as the restored director cut was premiered on MGM HD (right before Killer Klowns!) almost two years ago. Steve Railsback's quirkiness and accent always crack me up, particularly his delivery of the line, "This woman is a masochist! An extreme masochist!"

He actually had a 2-picture deal with syfy about two years ago, but I think the options have since expired. They would have been filmed back-to-back, aired on syfy and then released unrated on disc. The proposed budget was something like $10mil for both films.
But like I said that was two years ago and I can't even find the story on deadline anymore, so I think the ship has sailed... |
