I know pilots are usually made cheaper, but is it me or the pilot could have been made with less grain on the blu-ray?

You pretty much answered your own question. Almost all pilot episodes are a little grainier than the others due to budget constraints. All considered, I still think it looks great on Blu.

Why? It was terrible.

Just got done watching through both seasons, and had no problems. Did you check your discs? I actually had to exchange my copy of season two at my local Best Buy. The black security bar/sticker was placed inside the circle area where Disc 1 was placed.

While I understand this mindset, it wouldn't break my heart if the original unaired pilot never gets included on any of the season sets. It's painfully bad and unfunny. The total antithesis of the BBT that I came to know and love.
