Oh I didn't forget, and this armor looks killer. At least it's not creamy beige. Never in Iron Man history did he have a beige suit.
http://www.ironmanarmory.com/Armors.html

It makes sense only if it's supposed to be some type of desert camouflage, and the weak-looking tan color is supposed to mimic sand.

The suit is growing on me a bit, though it doesn't beat the Mark 7 for me, but that's mostly because of the colors. But admitted the suit does look better in certain lighting. The design itself looks like it mixes the Mark 6 and 7 a bit, losing the boosters the MK8 had on its back. I like the design of the suit overall, but the colors i'm going to have to get use to, though they're not as bad as i thought at first. Like i said in an earlier post though, i hope the classic colors return for the finale at least. Though it may look better on screen than it does in real life, didn't The Amazing Spider-Man go through the same thing? The suit looked meh in real life but in the movie itself and on promotional material it looked brilliant.

Who knows, maybe this suit is the "Extremis" suit or whatever the new technology is called and he’ll make a Mark IX before the end of the movie.

Depends, on wether they go with 3 new models like Iron Man 1&2 or 2 new models. If it follows the previous ones we'd get the Mark X for the finale. (Since the Mk7 was introduced in The Avengers.) You got to admit, Mark X sounds pretty badass

Marx X might sound great if you don't say the X as 10

Personally though, i hope that armour with the beige/tan is just the prototype of the extremis style mind control armour he's developing and then he gets something more juicy. I think of it almost like a MK2 v.2.0. By that i mean he's back to the prototype phase, before he adds a dash of colour albeit this one is a spin off with the current red scheme and the gold swapped out for what unfortunately doesn't look as good in the shots so far as we'd like

I have really high hopes for the movie but i'm uncertain on Kingsley as the Mandarin not because of the look but rather the accent. Why don't they just dub in a good voice over. Just make it better than the job done on Curt Connors for TASM.

Well so far this is the only picture of the suit that i like:

Though it's mostly the lighting that makes it look better. Though the lines are perfect, and with the colors switched i think it could look perfect. With the exception of the helmet, which they luckily kept the same.

Totally agree. The design is great but flipping the colours on the body would do a world of wonders. Our only hope that the suit is as we think a prototype that comes in for a bit and goes out when a better upgrades done. MK 2 to MK 3 like in Iron Man 1.

BALLS!

I just found out that my home city of Chattanooga, TN is going to be featured in Iron Man 3, but there will be no actual footage shot in Chattanooga....they have made up Kenansville, NC to look like Chattanooga and are shooting there instead

Didn't we get three suits in each of the prequels? I'm not really liking it (Iron Man should be primarily red, and then gold, after all), but the way Stark has been going through different suits and color schemes, it probably won't be seen in a big portion of the movie .
Blu-ray releases should be perfect representations of their cinema counterparts.

I'm almost certain this is gonna be shown right at the beginning as his experimental voice/mind controlled armour and then he heads into the next armour. I think they knew there would be debate bout the scheme so they're holding off the other reveal till trailers or the actual movie to show off.

I'm not worried in the slightest about this movie or any other movie. They're in safe hands

True and if they used this armor people would likley complain its to red and the helmet is not the same

I wouldn't complain. That looks 1000x better than the crappy beige suit we've seen displayed at Comic-Con.
