The x-rays came back all good (well, mostly) as there are no fractures of any kind. I did discover that I now have mild arthritis in both hips. He said the fall may have aggravated the arthritis and made the pain worse. I don't know how that's possible, but hell he's the Doc! He ended it by saying you just suffered some pretty severe bruising and it'll take time to heal.

I've decided to go back to work on modified duties for the next week, and until the pain is gone.It would be nice to stay home I suppose, but WSIB/WCB only pays me 60% of my wages while I'm off, and I can't afford to live on that. So I guess its more a question of financial necessity than desire. Bottom line...it is what it is!

Take it easy for the next week... You don't want to aggravate the injury...

Would you believe ........... When I got the Grado out of the box and looked at it I noticed the stylus was off center

Welcome to my world , i have had 3 bad Dynavector 20x .

I call the tsunami cartridges .

Currently have a Zyx that i borrowed from a friend which is a nice sounding cartridge and gonna try a Benz Glider later this week .

hey JV, hope things are going well, i went to a nice audio show over the weekend, Capital Audiofest 2012 and it was great. all 2 channel either from turntables, reel to reel or CD's. tube amps and vintage gear out the whoo-haaa!

i was thinking about you at times during the show, knowing how much you would love some of this gear!

This is crazy for the amount of money I laid out. To make matters worse is when I called Elusive Disc for an RMA, they questioned me as if I was the cause of the issues

Good morning all!

Feeling much, much better! Still have some pain from the bruising on my hip, but it's more than manageable as long as I don't twist and turn too much. I figure I should be back to 100% by week's end.

I'm just doing some office work and helping out other departments with some tasks they are behind on. Pretty mundane stuff, but it's easy on my body until I'm completely healed.

I should be back posting regularly again in a day or two!

Going pretty good. Still on the hunt for the elusive SVS sub used. But, if I don't find anything by Sept. 25 - I'm gonna buy new. Today I contacted someone and was able to purchase the bezels for the front of my power conditioner and I can get rid of the rack mounts.

Pretty good day at work. No pressure and highly productive.

Sept 25 is still a fairly long way off, so you might get lucky...here's hoping you do! You'll have to show us some pics how the PC looks with the new bezels.

Had an easy day myself, although I think I overdid it a bit. Tomorrow will be easy-peasy and then I'm off on Saturday. I may go and price out some Otterbox Defender cases for my Samsung Galaxy Note. BB wants like $65....no way am I paying that!

This getting older stuff blows! Taking me so much longer to recover, but I'm doing good. Have been "reprimanded" a few times for wanting to do more, but dammit man...I can't just sit on my ass and do nothing. I know they mean well and I take it in stride, but it'll be nice when I'm 100% again!

I just discovered a little good news for those getting older and that bank at Scotiabank in Canada. When you hit 59 (I will in 10 days) you get free banking services. No more fees for anything, including the ordering a cheques. I don't really use cheques much anymore ( who does?), but still.

Ummm Johnny, I've been getting all of that for the last 15 years or so. But I'm sure glad that you will have that same luxury too real soon.
