Exactly, Do we really need to see a guy used as a shield and have a hundred rounds fired into him. PG-13 can have a huge amount of violence it just cant have the blood and gore of an R.

Great to hear!

Thanks for sharing.
If you are violent you are weak, for violence has no mind.

Blood and gore is usually the result when people get shot....

I haven't watched it in forever.
It's been confirmed that TR (the PG-13 cut appearing in theaters) will have brief nudity. I don't see any reason to believe an unrated cut will ever surface, cause I don't think they ever had any intention of going for a hard R (like the original).

Don't know if it means much to you guys, but Total Recall has been re-classified by the BBFC, the rating body in the UK from 18 to 15. That's a downgrade and it's telling that the level of violence it possessed in modern terms doesn't quite have what cuts it as an 18 anymore, or maybe movies like The Expendables being rated 15 with their level of violence are the new barometer.

I honestly think it could very well be rated at a 15 here unless they're really going for box office haul in which case i agree with the member you responded to that a increased 'R' version or at least here in terms of a 15 will be releasd for the home release.

The Expendables is rated the same as the new Total Recall is? The Expendables was a "hard-R" movie. I am confused as to why a PG-13 rated movie would have the same rating in the UK as a movie that was rated R here, especially considering the BBFC censors typically are harsher than the MPAA in terms of violence.

The theatrical version was rated 15, but it was cut. The dvd was rated 18. I got this info from IMDb.

Wow finally found a place online where people are actually excited for this film. I love the Arnold film and I couldn't for the life of me understand why they would remake this especially with the 200m budget. Very big risk.
However, the last trailer looks really good and I can see where the money went. Hopefully the film is good and it makes some money.

It makes a huge difference, in the eyes of the MPAA board. Fantasy, science-fiction and animation can get away with much more than the average movie.
I was actually just making a light-hearted jab at the MPAA, but then everyone started treating it seriously .
Blu-ray releases should be perfect representations of their cinema counterparts.

I take it the 3 boob chick will be in movie then? If that is the case, I agree that there is little chance of any "Hard Directors Cut"

Sometimes we hear of people who are “very” honest, “mostly” honest, or even “a little” honest.
Should we even use modifiers with the word honest? I don’t believe so. There are no degrees of honesty. Either we are honest or we aren't.

Yeah I saw that, but if this is PG-13 for "brief Nudity" I was asking if she was in it, and if her scene was what was counted as brief nudity. Originally I was in the understanding that was not going to be in film that was released in theaters.

This is probably a bare bottom (). Recent PG-13 movies are apparently not allowed to get away with breast nudity anymore.

I still think this vehicle would have been better driven by a beefcake, either Vin D or The Rock. I was NOT happy when this flick was announced with Colin and he still may prove to be the wrong choice. However I am a massive fan of Sci-Fi and as soon as I saw the trailer with the Blade Runner feel I nearly dribbled all over myself. So first weekend I am there...
