She didn't like it for a lot of reasons. But it wasn't as one-note as that. And I'll quote specifically about Bane...

Then there's Bane, a muscular mass of pure evil who orchestrates an elaborate takeover of Gotham City. The role is a huge waste of what Tom Hardy can do; his character is so one-dimensional and poorly defined, he's never so much a fearsome figure as a large and hulking one. It doesn't help matters that it's often difficult to make out what he's saying beneath the cage-like muzzle that covers his nose and mouth and alters his voice. Hardy can be sexy and charismatic (as he proved in "Inception") but also a dangerous and unpredictable figure. None of that is on display here. He's all brute force.

Sounds kinda misogynistic for you to claim her only problem with Bane's character was that he wasn't sexy enough.

I don't see how "One-Dimensional", "Poorly Defined", "Difficult to Make Out", and so on equals..... "He wasn't sexy enough."

Dark Knight, Batman Begins, and especially Inception had plenty of heart.

Most of the reviews have said this is the most emotionally of the trilogy.

Nobody ruined anything. They are upset because Letterman made what was obviously a joke, but you can't joke with Batman fans. Don't even get them started on Baman and Piderman.

I'm sorry, I was talking about a potential spoiler revealed on the FB page of TDKR, not what Letterman said. I figured he was just joking, but man, I felt for Anne in that moment!

Thats weird I got my CD in the mail today and itunes didnt recognize which soundtrack it was. Probably by tomorrow they'll release the coding to recognize it. Sounds pretty good so far though. It seems like they mixed Gothams Reckoning and Imagine the Fire for the trailer, but yeah, wish they made that a track.

It's funny if you don't take things so seriously. And it's not like spoilers weren't expected at this point.

Hell, the Heroclix figures and Mattel toylines already spoiled months ago more than David Letterman has. Such as who JGL is.

Because I like Batman as a character. He's the most "Marvel" of DC's characters, so it's easy to. His Rogue's are also the most interesting aspect about him. Even if I don't like Christopher Nolan's interpretation. Gimme Burton's Batman, Adam West's Batman, or most of he Animated interpretations any day. I'm glad that you seem to be able to read my mind. Perhaps the existence of mutants as shown in the X-Men movies has come to pass. But don't quit you're day job. I'm hopeful at least that if I hate DKR, that the same thing will happen as with TDK. That it gave me a new appreciation for the much better previous film. I actually enjoy most of Batman Begins now for that very reason. It was much better than what came after. I have no vendetta, just a desire for a live-action Batman movie that I enjoy. I'm sorry that my unhappiness and dissatisfaction with the films seems to diminish your own enjoyment.

So I have a question? Why would someone who has voiced his displeasure about Nolans Batman movies come to this thread?

This is in your Sig line, It clearly shows who you feel about batman, so again why are you in a batman thread?

And? It shows that I recognize that Batman can be interpreted a number of ways. And that not every interpretation is going to make everyone happy. But all of them are valid in the long history of Batman as a character. I fail to see where it says that I hate Batman. Or even how it could be interpreted as hate for Nolan's Batman. You shouldn't read between the lines. You're not very good at it. Can we get back on topic now?

Back on topic. I'm surprised a full synopsis of the film hasn't leaked out yet.

Seems the other comic films were spoiled roughly around this time. Either that or I'm not looking in the right place online.

You'd think some of those negative reviews would at least go for spilling everything. They usually don't mind doing so.

The same people who are getting mad that everyone doesn't love this. Are the same ones who are getting mad over movies they hate, but others love.
People have different opinions, shocking i know as it seems. It's those very same people that make me sickening and made me not see TDK in theaters. Because people get too carried away with it and it becomes their lives. And their lives goal to flame does who don't agree with them on it.

I've never seen Batman Begins ( ) so I'll be watching that Wednesday and then my 4th viewing of The Dark Knight on thursday. Going Friday morning for Rises. I won't be able to stay awake until 3am+ on Thursday night Movie theater seats make me fall asleep during long films, especially after 12am. I was getting groggy during the midnight premiere of spider-man, and I really don't want to miss any of this movie.
