Sorry if it has been discussed, but will it be Region B-locked on Region A-B-C? I cannot see that info in the above picture.

Default The show did get better

Very true. Season one had some good episodes but generally was very mediocre, the "Please save us Wesley" year. I remember watching it as a kid in 1987 even thinking back then it was poor. Reminds me of Star Trek Original Series season three which suffered a noticeable drop in quality due to brain dead executive decisions to slash the budget and change the timeslot. Season two TNG was a lot better but the show definitely did not hit the ground running until season three including a much improved uniform change. The show then got consistently got better culminating in the best season being season six. Comparing season one to season six is like night and day. I'll buy season one just to be able to watch Star Trek TNG in HD as it will be another year until season three is out.

Thought the high points were probably season 3 and 4. I think there were good and bad episodes throughout the run, and season 1 suffered from the same problem that almost all shows have, just generally finding it's feet and all the cast finding the right chemistry.

I think the only TV shows I would say hit the ground running from the first seasons were the original Star Trek and the original Doctor Who.

I think most modern shows actually have the opposite problem - great first series with such a good concept, that they struggle to move past the first season. But then I can't imagine a modern show having 2-3 seasons of 20+ episodes to 'find it's feet' - it has to be an immediate hit or it gets cancelled.

Can be had for less than £40 from Tesco Entertainment if you use the 15% discount code and 10% Quidco cash back.

If you have the sampler voucher you will get another fiver back too, think Season 1 is going to end up costing me around £35 which I think is a very good price seeing as the DVD was £70

I doubt it, this is star trek we are talking about. I don't belive I've ever seen the star trek blus drop below £40-£45 TOS has been out years and never dropped to a reasonable price.

It's still £100 for the 3 series box set! Thats crazy expensive for 3 series, Even the price on the new complete friends boxset was only about £100 and that has 10 series! Batlestar and Heroes have all been as low as £40 too.

Star Trek is expensive and always will be

I wanted the DVD releases for years but was waiting for the price to drop far enough - they never did. I'm biting the bullet with the blus though, don't want to wait any more.

I got the TOS Complete Series set for about £75 a few months back from TheHut, had to wait 2 weeks for delivery but the 2nd cheapest was around £95 so was well worth the wait.

Nope, also went with HMV, if only for using their 20% discount code. Otherwise, I'd've gone with Amazon. I try to avoid HMV whenever possible.

I've been more than happy with HMV over the years. Always got my pre orders early. But now they are moving operations to mainland UK packaging and delivery times have suffered greatly.

Hopefully it's just a temporary thing. All I know is that my order for Total Recall was sent last Tuesday and didn't arrive until yesterday. And since this hasn't even been posted yet I guess I wont be seeing it until middle of next week

As you say, if it wasnt for the 20% discount I would have just went with Play, who have redeemed themselves in my eyes with their packaging and delivery times.
