Post Negative Reviews

Most of the negative reviews points are due to one of the following reasons:

1. Too much Hype
2. No Heath Ledger or Joker -> Bane is boring
3. Length of the movie
4. Spectacle with no Heart
5. Prejudice -> Never liked BB or TDK in the first place

I have no issues if someone doesn't like the movie for the first 4 reasons. People who never liked either BB or TDK in the first place and has a strong assumption that 'TDKR will suck', IMO they should not be reviewing this. I have read 2 such reviews till now.
Some reviews are written to instigate fans. Its a waste of time replying to those reviewers and fans never understand that.
Rating Battleship above TDKR seems very odd to me, but still thats a opinion.

I have a feeling when I wake up the RT score is gonna be like 82% .

Because of too much action and no heart.

Just seen the 4th negative review on RT,another Joe blog's reviewer from a magazine or site i have never heard of...attention seeking???who cares!

This film is going to be awesome & i bet 99% of the people on here love it.

I just read the last 2 paragraphs of his review & he didn't like BB at all & wasn't that fond of TDK either.

To be honest, if you didn't like the first two then nothing will change.

Does it necessarily have to be prejudice? If you didn't like the first two, I would be surprised if you liked the 3rd in the series.

It currently has 89% on RT and people act like this movie is a huge disappointment. I mean really?? What did you expect? A pure 100%? A perfect movie? Maybe even the best one ever made? 89% is a great score.

Perfect is a bit of a misinterpretation of RT's rating system. 100% doesn't mean perfect it just means 100% of the reviewers thought it was good. The average rating would probably be high 80s. That being said we won't likely see anymore 100% mainstream movies. Not post Armond White. The problem is that controversy drives views and views pump up advertising revenues. However, that doesn't justify what some of the, we'll call them Scum of the Earth, are doing to some of these reviewers. The review trolls like Armond White have ruined the entire site. My opinion, find a couple of reviewers you usually agree with and just search for their reviews.

Nobody here has watched it yet, so no one is disappointed

Unfortunately there are some Nolan/Batman fans who think that the previous two movies are so fantastically great and in ways beyond a movie that they feel they must defend it even by employing death threats. Its a sad indictment of some in the community of so called movie fans.

The wonderful thing about opinions is everyone has one. Just because it doesn't agree with yours is no reason to lose the plot. (BTW this is not being directed to you but to the losers on Rotten Tomatoes).

Sometimes regular movie goers require a different point of view to those of fanboys. Not everyone who goes to see this will necessarily be a fan of either Nolan or Batman. Personally I don't rely on reviews or critiques and try to avoid them until after I have seen the movie for myself. Then I can with knowledge now on my side make an argument for either agreeing or disagreeing with the reviewer.

How can you say with certainty that this movie will be great without first having seen it? This type of thinking is unreliable.

It's funny how everyone just assumes that reviewers have a choice in the content they get to view. In most cases, reviewers are told what to go watch by whoever they happen to be "working" for. ESPECIALLY when it comes to films like this and pre-screenings. Those reviews that state the writer wasn't fond of the first two may not have had a choice. So, you can't blame them for writing the review. They have a demographic to which they are speaking. Since you aren't part of said demographic, you don't need to listen to what they have to say. And, just because they are of a minority opinion, it doesn't make their opinion any less warranted. That would be the same as not interviewing someone for a job because they are of a minority racial group. Are those people not entitled to get a chance to be interviewed for the same position as everyone else?

Everyone just needs to relax and let the positive reviews drown the negative ones. We all know that it will happen over the next week anyways.

EDIT: Also... who is anyone to say that many of the glorified reviews aren't of the same nature as the negative ones and simply on the other side of the spectrum? I would guess that there are many overzealous nutjob fans of the franchise that they are probably writing reviews giving it 20/10 just on the merits that it is a Nolan Batman film. Some may even be doing it without having seen the film. So, don't be so quick to want to lynch people for not being THAT entertained unless you are ready to lynch people for being ridiculously over entertained as well.
