We weren't allow to touch it since it was all enclosed inside a glass case. I'm guessing it'll be like those cardboard cd cases. I don't really like the Cube, all it really does is blink. If it glowed, that wouldve been nice. But seeing this in person definitely changed my mind about it. I will be getting even though I have all the movies in steelbooks already.

Also Marvel screened there short film Item 47 which will be on the Avengers blu ray. There was a little scavenger hunt to find the location of the screening. The first person who finished it got herself a free copy of it.
Available for trade:

Elder Scrolls 5th Anniversary
Wrath of Titans BB steelbook
Finding Nemo empty viva
Cinderella empty viva
Avengers empty viva
Muppets empty viva

Yes, obviously they didn't want people touching it...but it seesm that if someone were able to look at from the right side of the display case, you could see inside the movies cases to confirm if they have spindles or not. It's frustrating, obviously, since I can't be there to look for myself...and all the pics/vids I've seen are from the front(the designed shot) or from the left side...I can't seem to track down a pic/vid of the right side which would let us know! Not so much for me, but for some a potential selling point.

I will be getting the Target version for sure. It is the most balanced out of everything. I will be able to get it locally for a decent price and it has everything to boot: 2D, 3D, Digital Copy, Music, Bonus Disc, and Slipcover with better artwork.

I have placed a pre-order for Phase One, but I don't know if I will end up getting it. I already own all of the films. I like the artwork that houses each disc, but I don't like the bulky case. I like the memorabilia, but I don't know if it will be worth it if I'm just going to look at it a few times and then have it sit on the shelf. we'll have to see....

as for the steelbook, I like it but I don't want to pay the price. The German version has everything I want, but I'll be getting that and more from Target besides the steelbook packaging. Maybe I should just get a single-disc version from another country. I hope that Best Buy gets one, even though it seems like the chances are getting slimmer and slimmer by the day.

all in all, I think it's ridiculous that there are so many versions to choose from. It's stupid for me to want to buy multiple versions of the same film just for the packaging. all I need is one. this is the first time that I've had this dilemma.

I've only had that dilemma with Peter Jackson's King Kong, so I'm feeling your pain, too. I'm going with the 3D Target edition and I have Phase 1 pre-ordered as well. Same boat as you, though; I want them all!!!

Yeah, but I think it's safe to assume YOU don't represent all of the world's Avengers BD fans. There's no rule saying you have to buy all of them.
Me, I'd rather have as many options available to me as possible instead of just one. That way I can pick the BD(s) that best suits my tastes.

No spindles.
Pause at the 1:00 mark; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FD5sQ...ature=youtu.be

Still want to know if the Iron Man special features are all there, if it will include a digital copy for Avengers, and what exactly is on the extra disc.
"I'd made the vampire cry. Great. I felt like a real superhero. Harry Dresden, breaker of monsters hearts."

"Don't call me a dinosaur. It isn't fair to the dinosaurs. What did a dinosaur ever do to you?"

"Bring it, Darth Bathrobe!"

Still a great set! Now it would be nice to get the complete list of extras.

Edit: Since I have a ton of extra dvd cases, I wonder if I can cut out a spindle and mount on the inside? Probably too much work to be concerned about it.

#1. Did you not see the at the end of my post? You know what that means, right?

#2. I know that if I had this set pre-ordered, it would have been cancelled the very second that I saw that image of the cases in which the discs are being kept. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who feels that way.

#3. Again, I point out that this set will still sell like crazy. For every pre-order that would be cancelled (for whatever reason), there will be 2 other people who buy one.

Baiting? I thought that was a fishing term?

#1. So smilies negate what you say? Why even say it in the first place?

#2. You don't have it pre-ordered, and you've never liked it from it's initial unvieling, as witness by your posts...so I wonder why you keep posting about something you don't like? Baiting perhaps?

#3. Where did you point that out? With the smilie?

Still keeping mine!

A) I love the art on those sleeves and I'm buying this mostly just for collector's purposes since I already own the films individually.

B) Even though the discs are just in sleeves, those sleeves are in a big freakin' briefcase to protect them!

No. Some people think they do. If your discs are scratching from the cardboard, I would check them for sand and broken glass before complaining about the sleeves.

I have the Alien and Spartacus sets and I've never had a problem with my discs getting scratched.

The thing that is confusing is the whole idea of this 90 minute feature. I think it will be easier when a few editions are out there!
