I do want to watch Batman Begins and The Dark Knight in the next couple of days, before going to see The Dark Knight Rises. I would like to go see it Friday, but with it being opening day, and all of the kids on summer break, I might just hold off until Monday morning to see it, if I can wait that long!

You could get a tab tensioned screen. That should help stop the wrinkles. 200"?!

After calculating the cinetension versus my current manual (<-weight bar cut off too save space) i've found that even going 84" with the former adds a little over an inch too the complete screen width. (2.8cm). Cutting something of the cinetension would not work as it's full of wires and that would defeat the whole purpose of going with a tabtension screen.

Hmm. found it in stock in Germany.
http://www.beamer-discount.de/leinwa...cPath=7_8_1158 Although not exactly cheap at 986$. My 92" manual cost me just 1/6th of that if i remember correctly.

That's actually a photoshopped Amazon horned frog, but it does look a lot like Hypnotoad.

Have you seen the videos of Reference's HT setup? He has his tv in front of his screen on a fold-up bar/cable. If you did that, you could get a fixed screen. http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread....150711&page=53

Me personally, I couldn't imagine ever going smaller, but with a smaller screen, you probably would get more lumens out of your pj, and improved contrast, which would be really nice, but at the cost of screen size. I've played around with my pj, and when I adjust it smaller, it does seem to have a little more "pop". It's your HT, you get whatever you like.

I think it unlikely that the loss of the weight bar did this but could be since i only just started noticing it after i removed it. But it could also just be my eyes that has become more critical too how the picture should look. I'll try looking at something better but maybe i'll just let it be. At least for a month or two since i have for nearly a year and a half only bought Hifi stuff and nothing else. I need a new vacuum cleaner, new clothes and such. ![]() Im not sure if every projector handles contrast the way mine does but mine get the best contrast with the minimum zoom. Mine however is zoomed in almost at maximum. Making my projector contrast the weakest possible and also quite bright because of the short throw. The ND filter helps with the latter so that the light reflecting from screen too the white walls and back again doesn't smear the picture detail as much. Also lowers the contrast and brightness in the process. That gives you blacker blacks but not really any better contrast detail only the illusion of such. Not the same but similar too what one tries too achieve with a lower gain and/or grey screen.
