'all your music' on Amazon are your best bet. They deliver in 10 days and are always the cheapest on Amazon. Never let me down in 20+ orders.

It would be about 14 Pound delivered from Amazon.com.

Allyourmusic and Moviemars are both good on Amazon marketplace but neither have it yet.

Oh well? I've bought Outland from Buy.com for only $11.99 with free shipping, and it's being delivered today. All you had to do was search. I had posted this link before in this thread, didn't you see it? You could have saved yourself a few dollars! Nobody buys blu-rays at their MSPR. What were you thinking!

same here. I am much too impatient to save the few dollars. It is worth it to me have in in hand. Had I known this wasn't for sale in BB, WM, Target, etc, then, yeah I would have ordered.

You were waiting patiently for Outland to be released on blu-ray all this time, so what difference does it make if you wait another week for it to be delivered to your home?

I haven't owned OUTLAND since the laserdisc...which I probably still have somewhere. I never got it on DVD due to the horrible reviews that disc received. I always assumed that it would eventually be remastered and re-released. It took a little longer than I expected.

This new Blu-ray is clearly a newer and better transfer than what has been shown on the HD channels in the past, and really looks nice. The improved resolution really lets one take in and admire the sets, and the sound is a tremendous improvement over what has been available for this film in the past. Perhaps I wouldn't be as impressed with it if it wasn't a film from my childhood--the plot is relatively simplistic, it tries too much to look like ALIEN, questionable scientific accuracy, and the villain is borderline ludicrous--but I think the good far outweighs the bad. I mean, Sean Connery still in his prime, expansive (and expensive) sets, interesting visual effects (Introvision!), a great surround track, and good secondary characters...what's not to like? Great entertainment, at least in my opinion.

Agree with all your sentiments on the film's qualities and flaws, and will add to that list of qualities, the great Jerry Goldsmith score. I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if it wasn't a film from my youth, either. I, too, had the laserdisc (which I, sadly, gave away with many of my other LDs) and waited...and waited...for a better quality release. This Blu-ray certainly delivers. The aforementioned commentary track, is, as they say, a winner.

The villain is ludicrous? A company man that uses drugs to amp up production so he can get fat bonuses (and turn a side profit as a drug dealer) is ludicrous?

Uh, yeah...very unbelievable.

I happen to like that it looks and feels like Alien. Those two films and Blade Runner look like they are all part of the same universe.
I mostly come out at night. Mostly.

Yep. Yesterday.

It took Amazon a whole week to get it to me.

Also, I finally picked up Dark City today at Best Buy for $4.00 by trading in my old Total Recall DVD. Can't wait to watch that one.

BTW, It's the Directors Cut on DC that I should watch first...correct?
