There's also this $10 discount on a future order. Sorry if this has been posted before, but I know nothing of Best Buy or their promotions.

Quote:
Spend $50 or more on movies, music or video game software, choose store pickup, and get a $10 savings code.

Place a movie, music or video game software order of $50 or more between Sunday, June 17, and Friday, August 31 — and use store pickup.
The savings code will be e-mailed up to 5 days after you pick up your order.
Redeem your savings code in store or online.
Note: Not all products are available for store pickup.

Valid on individual online purchases made between 6/17/12 and 8/31/12. Excludes purchases of PC and pre-owned games, video game accessories, video game hardware, and Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network, PlayStation Plus, CinemaNow, iTunes® and online game cards. Eligible pre-orders must be placed and fulfilled during promotion. Savings Codes expire as follows: For June in-store pickups — 7/31; July in-store pickups — 8/31; and August in-store pickups — 9/30.
So, if I choose store pick-up and bring in a used DVD, I'll get the set for $55 plus tax, and also have $10 to use towards a future purchase?

Filling out the pick-up form now: if I want to trade in a used DVD for the additional $5 off, do I need to click the 'I'd like to speak with a Best Buy Customer Specialist about this item' box? Do they take any used DVD at all? Should I try to pick an unscratched one, or does it not matter? Should I take a couple with me, in case they reject one? Thanks.

You don't have to click that box. Just bring a DVD with you next Tuesday (make sure it's in decent condition and has a case/cover) and they will adjust your price accordingly before they charge your card.

(A charge may appear on your account and then disappear before the 24th.)

Okay, thanks. I figured I'd have to wait until Black Friday for a decent deal, quite pleased to be buying it on release date!

Just notified Amazon of the $59.99 Best Buy price. Hopefully they'll match it - and soon! If it's not updated by Saturday, I'll cancel my pre-order and order one from Best Buy. Think that's enough time?

How do you figure 64.79 at Amazon.(unless of course your one of the very few places that charges sales tax for amazon) for most people in the US Amazon doesnt include sales tax for now.
59.99 shipped trumps $61.05 in my area. Like i said not a big difference in price, but i would rather save trading in a DVD for something thats save me more than just a buck or so.

As for Prime, its very rare that I get something via ups from prime, nine times out of ten its via Ontrac. and ive never had any issues with slipcovers from them or the very rare shipment via UPS.
We couldn't play cheaper programing if we tried, and believe me WE TRIED.

Yeah, like I said, what it looks like, and what it will ultimately be, may not be what you see there in the trailer. Depending on how the hue and saturation is on the video, it could very well be gold, or orange, but I'm betting on orange as were the DVDs.

In the screenshot, it looks like there's too much red for it to be gold; I think they'll be sticking with the colors from the DVDs.

They still have 8 Season 1s at the Burbank, CA Best Buy... so you can get it today for $54.99 in store if you are in the area. Just know you can't get the $10 coupon... you'd have to order on line and pick up on the 24th to get it.

You could order it online for in-store pickup, and shortly thereafter you'll receive a $10 code via email within a few days for a future purchase. I'll be spending more than $10 at Best Buy in the near future anyway with some upgrade and save coupons, so to me, I'll be getting this for $49.99 plus tax.

In my case, with amazon i am also using a 15 dollar promo so for me personally if amazon matches the best buy price. that would be ideal.
(though i didnt mention that in the earlier posts).

YEAH! SCHWEET!! So I basically got mine for $5 then. If the coupon lasts long enough, I'll just roll it over on season 2. If not, then I've still got another $10 in rewards money coming to me, so those two added together = free movie.

Man, what a slam dunk. The weakest season for probably the best price I'm going to get on any of the seven.
I mostly come out at night. Mostly.

Default Best Buy price vs. Amazon price

So as someone who pre-ordered ST:TNG Season 1 Blu-ray on Amazon, how do I contact Amazon regarding matching the Best Buy price? Should I call? E-mail? What is the contact phone #, or e-mail address?

That's soo wrong! I'd love to give a review, but I have to wait to get the official release! And by that time, it's pretty pointless to even try

That guy makes season 1 sound like it doesn't amount to the other seasons. I totally love it myself. And with the crystal clarity video, it makes it even better!
4K? Really? Why? 720P looks pretty good projected @ 120"!!! I haven't seen 1080P, but I imagine it's GREAT!
