Saw Dark Knight Rises. Not bad but a lot of filler between the obvious set pieces. Number 2 was the same but at least they had Ledger to fill that space. I missed a lot of what Bane said as well. I found Michael Caine's part odd too. It was like they were trying for this big emotional punch to the gut of the viewer, but didn't quite make it IMO.

I really am probably not the best person to answer this, as I have no comparison, but to me I had no problem with contrast or detailing. I have samsung 40inch LCD and I reckon it does a good job of hiding any deficiencies at this minute size haha. no I can not say I had any issues, I thought the graphics looked gorgeous. and nothing appeared glaring in any of the interior or exterior green screen scenes.

if you do decide to double the dip, id be interested to find out the comparisons .

Watched A River Runs Through It.

Beautiful film, beautifully filmed. A lovely transfer, artful cinematography, a patient and meditative script — just my cup of tea. Tom Skerritt really owns the film, but for me he almost always does, and he's not out of proportion to the other performers. And yes, I cried a couple of times. No surprises there.

Watched Braveheart... I hadn't seen it since my widescreen VHS copy... I must admit I enjoyed it a lot more back then...having seen The Passion of the Christ and then rewatching this, I was amazed by how similar they are. Clearly Braveheart was a test run for Passion and what he could accomplish (or get away with.)

Watched Batman Begins and TDK in prep for TDKR. Begins is by far the greatest superhero origin story ever told. As for TDK, I find it long-winded with too many characters and too much going on at once, and Hans Zimmer's score is overused. The film never once settles down. Every scene involves either The Joker, Harvey Dent, corrupt cops or mob bosses. By the end I was exhausted. Ledger's Joker is my favourite thing about the film. He's there from the get go, a stranger with no name, no background and has seemingly come from nowhere, and that's what I love about the character. For all Batman knows the guy could simply be one of the Arkham escapees that were never caught at the end of Begins.

Watched all three films I said I was going to tonight.

All three are present well on blu-ray, except for one scene in Jurassic, in the kitchen scene as the velociraptor enters and you get a side on view, it all goes very standard definition, and the goes back. Otherwise this was an awesome night for viewing.

No I've never dealt with them before, but it arrived pretty much all good. The paper insert was just a little bit creased due to the eco case, however the disc is in perfect condition.

Watched: Yesterday and today I've checked out the first three episodes of V Season 1. Good start so far. I never got to see too far into it. I know it dips in quality but we'll see how it goes. Picture quality is fair but the seams of the CGI show and there is some softness occasionally, partly filming and partly DNR.

Went back to the cinema for a return Dark Knight Rises visit. Just as awesome second time around.

Lastly (and semi-Blu-ray related) I went to The Tea Party concert last night at the Hordern Pavilion. Awesome show - 2.5 hours of incredible music. Great band I've been following for 17 years. First say them 16 years ago and have never missed a tour. They filmed the show last night and will be releasing it on Blu-ray as their first live concert release. Got there nice and early and so my ugly mug will likely make it to the Blu-ray as I was right up the front. Can't wait for it to be released. Day 1 purchase for me.

Damn eco cases. They should reduce the price of movies that are in those cases, you have to handle them differently. Makes me so angry

Any ways I decided to purchase all 3 from that site so I will report back when I receive them
