It is established in TDK that it is in Gotham.

In TDKR though, those establishing shots of Gotham after the opening plane sequence show Wayne Manor right near one of those bridges, so it's pretty close to the city. |

Blu-ray Samurai

Just watched the movie. It was good. The Dark Knight is better though in my opinion. It was better than Batman Begins though.
Overall, I enjoy it and will go see it again tomorrow with the GF.
Adopted Blu-ray long before its development and launch.

Blu-ray Samurai

For me, part of it has to do with The Joker (70%), and part of it with the story (30%).

hard to compare IMO. Such different films. Doesn't even feel like a sequel most of the time. Just really different styles. I can't pick a favorite. They're 1a and 1b as far as my favorite comic movies ever. Batman Begins is in the top 10 somewhere.

But overall I think TDK had a very focused story. Really not a lot going on in it, which allowed the story to breathe a little and have a great flow to it. TDKR has so much going on that it actually feels rushed, and some of it just feels shoehorned in there. I just feel like the script could have used more time to streamline it and make it flow better, but its almost like they ran out of time and just had to start shooting it. TDK also has a lot of really cool scenes, like the Joker hanging out of the cop car window, the interrogation scene, and I didnt feel like there was really anything like that in Rises. Rises feels more like a normal comic book movie to me, and nothing like TDK which is more of a drama I guess. [Show spoiler]

Both TBH. Rises felt more like a Book Ends. It ended the trilogy about as perfectly as any film could've, but as a stand alone movie, the second film was stronger.

I Enjoyed TDK more than TDKR because the joker is my favorite batman villain, the story was great, and ledgers performance even made it better. The Thing i loved more about TDKR was the fight between Batman and Bane that was epic! the Joker and Batman fight was corny.

mainly Joker being the better villain for me, but TDK also i felt was just a bit better overall. I did however really like TDKR and plan to see it again. Also i thought John Blake was a great character one of the best in TDKR imo. I only mention because i have read alot of hate about his character on the internet and i'm not sure why.
Don't touch that please, your primitive intellect wouldn't understand alloys and compositions and things with... molecular structures
