I just noticed that five people gave this movie a 1 star!?
I'm all for everyone having their own opinion, but come on! What did these five people see that I didn't? Unless they went in already hating it due to either all the hype or some sort of batman-hate.
I don't mean to accuse anyone, but those ratings seem like obvious troll attempts, no?

I assume that they did not like the first two? I thought this was very well done and a very fitting closing movie.

Sometimes we hear of people who are “very” honest, “mostly” honest, or even “a little” honest.
Should we even use modifiers with the word honest? I don’t believe so. There are no degrees of honesty. Either we are honest or we aren't.

I thought the same thing, but then why would you go see the third movie if you hated the first two? Makes no sense to me...

It's just people trolling, there is really nothing you can say to make a reasonable argument for 1 star.

Funny thing is one of them has a Nolan avatar.

The Avengers had more before the site crash. I think Blu Titan saved the screenshot of it. Either that or a screen shot from the Box Office thread.

Thanks! I own it on (what else) DVD.

[Show spoiler]Maybe this third film should have been called The Caped Crusader, just to have each film use a different way to refer to Batman.

As for the ending, I would have liked it if Kyle was like 6 months pregnant, and she and Bruce were being watched by Alfred while Bruce puts his hand on Selina's pregnant belly, everyone smiling away. I guess that's my happy, feminine side coming out.

Do not use that word with Avengers. Its a smartly executed movie. How do you take any movie seriously with comic book chracters??? Batman movies are considered serious somewhat because the man behind the mask is shown with vulnerability, anguish, and most of all has the possibilty of dying. None of the Avenger chracters had this, even the Black Widow and NightHawk. Avengers is a great movie for what it is. TDKR is completely different. Why do you feel the need to talk about Avengers in TDKR discussion??
Nolan batman is still comic book fantasy but the chracters are made as real as possible within the movie universe. He never said he is making a documentary about a guy in batsuit
The world is changed. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it.

The way it played out, it made Bane look like Blaster from the Master/Blaster duo from Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome, and not the criminal mastermind he played for two thirds of the movie.
Well he is supposed to be seen as
[Show spoiler]the main villain leading up to seeing the movie and right up til the Talia reveal. I mean if the trailer was like "OMG IT'S TALIA AL'GHUL!!" then it ruins the whole twist. I still view Bane as the main villain in the movie anyway. Regardless of his motivation and who is pulling his strings, he is the main threat to Batman, the focus of the entire storyline, gets the most screen time as a villain. Plus he is instantly iconic in look and sound and is more than a match for Batman.

Tons of Batman graphic novels have multiple villains working for one of them. It doesn't really detract from their alpha villain status, it just means someone else is behind that particular scheme.

What, are you new here? People here go see movies just so they can pick them apart and complain about them. It doesn't make sense to me either, but they definitely do.

I make fun of Twilight all the time but I don't feel the need to see the movies so I'm educated while trashing them. I just know it's not for me.

Yes, but I doubt you go into those threads and give the movie a 1 star rating in the poll.

But if he saw the movie and hated it, he should go and vote and give it one star.

However, not seeing it and voting is dumb.

I thought I'd hate Scott Pilgrim. Had I visited a poll and voted without seeing it based on what I assumed, I would have given it one star. But I saw it and it's awesome!!

Did anyone else think of it to be out of character for Bane to basically approach
[Show spoiler]the final destruction of Gotham as a suicide mission? With the blast from the bomb it would've destroyed Gotham and the occupied members of the League of Shadows along with Talia and Bane, I know they were radicals but are we to assume that there is another Ras? Or would this be the final mission of the LoS?

Glad to find out I am not alone...

[Show spoiler] it is never hinted in the film that Talia and Bane intended to leave Gotham, I understand they are trying to fulfill Ras' destiny but, at least in the comics, his plan is to destroy the world so he can rebuild it, in the movie it seems though his only concern was Gotham... I may need to re-watch Begins to see if there are any other hints there...

[Show spoiler] From what i remember in Begins, he tells Bruce that they've destroyed and rebuilt Gotham before and tried a different thing. "Economics" in which Bruces dad thrived on. But I guess because of what they tried to do the city got worse than the last time so he planned on rebuilding it again. But he doesn't just say his focus is always on Gotham. It just happens to be the focus again.

This happens more times then not. I would bet the a majority of the people who hated a movie will not come in an debate it. It will not be worth their time. I would bet that 9 of 10 times, they are just trying to ruffle feathers of other members. And Yes, Scott Pilgrim is awesome!

Having now seen this, I do not understand some of the hate towards this movie. 1-2 Star rating does not make sense. The acting and effects were good. Was the story perfect? No, but no story is. I guess I am not letting some of the "plot holes" bother me like other people.

Dude dont tell me what words to use. U obviously dont know what I mean when I use the term? For example Batman & Robin was such a corny comic book film that is wasnt taking serious and was made to be very kiddish and corny with terrible execution. Remember serious doesnt mean dark. When I say serious I mean the direct/writer etc....took the project serious and made and executed a well made film. I am not talking about being a serious or dark tone. The Avengers was taking serious thus we got a great epic comic book film!

Also the reason I brought up the Avengers in this thread was because this all started with my reply about discussing the two films with a friend of mind. U would know that if u read all the replys. Didnt mean to hurt such a huge TDKR fan. Got Em!!

No, No, No, L.J. You misunderstand me. I loved
[Show spoiler]the twist. It was awesome. It's what made the movie great, among other things. Bane was iconic in this movie, right up until.... Look, what I'm saying is that before, during, and after the twist, he should have been portrayed as the bad-ass he built himself up as for the first two thirds of the film. I also agree with giaimom, his death was anti-climactic. Not that I didn't enjoy seeing Batman kicking his ass, but I saw his mask as a flawed Achilles heel. That, along with his quick death, gave me an ever-so-brief feeling that I was watching the Bane from Batman & Robin.

Is it just me or is Bane's voice the combination of The Lord of the Rings' ent and Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood?
