Some of the DVD's I have entered are still missing from the database. A few of the titles (star trek enterprise seasons 1 -4) had been entered by someone else but for different editions. I have changed these titles.
Do I need to re-enter all of the missing titles or are you working on recovering them? Thank you |

user Villiam Hayes replied : Ask a mod to fix it for you,I did here http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=197763 and went back up to senior after dropping down to junior. is that possible ? it would be welcome and of course i would keep these posts I have made after the crash - much apprecitiated I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him ... ? Anything interesting in Nef's Trade Thread do please PM me ! |

Hi iceman,
At some point during the database crash period, I created a thread in the trading section and had received two positive trading points. Neither of these have come back since the crash, is it at all possible to have this restored? I had my trading thread set as part of my signature, though that's also been cleared. If there's additional info I can provide to help restore this information, please let me know. Thanks! |

Thanks for that info, I have been wondering what changes have been made after the crash to help avoid the same loss again. Perhaps an announcement on the main page if it hasn't already been made to inform everyone of the news ??

However, couldn't this be automated a bit by extracting each forum message from the date and time of the move to the new server in April up until the crash? Then, couldn't each extracted message be individually posted back into the forum database but back dating them? It would be a shame to have messages that only appear in the "archive forum". I don't think newbies will immediately know that the "archive forum" exists and so can be searched for information that they are looking for. |
