No problems. I set their individual levels to 75dB as per Audyssey and then connected both up and ran Audyssey. You can tell that the SVS is doing most of the heavy lifting but together they sound fine and fill the room. Remember more bass is always better. Good Luck

If it sounds great within your system why would you sell it? You can't get better than great.

The best way would probably be to build a separate wall (making it a double wall between your HT room and his) using fiber batting or insulation. You really wouldn't lose much space, and it would be for the long term, so it would probably be worthwhile doing. It would cut the noise significantly.

Thoughts on dual SB12 NSD vs 1 PC12 Plus. Thinking of going to a sealed sub so I can fit 2 but not sure about that route or wait for the SB13 Ultra.

Another thought. What about dual SB12 NSD and then add SB13 Ultra later. Too much or just right to get the low bass?

I would wait for the SB13 Ultra, you might love it enough for a second one.

That's why I'm thinking of going with sealed subs is to get 2. I don't think another 12 Plus is going to make it into this room.

Fair price for a PC12 Plus, received Feb. 23 2012, if I decide to sell?

My pleasure. So, going back to your original question. I really like my SVS subs and that is the main reason I'm subscribed to this thread. So, you really can't go wrong with this subs.

Did you visit already SVS website? At the bottom of the site you will find a link for "Merlin" that might help you to identify the best sub based on your current speakers. Of course, you can talk directly with them and they will help you out to find out what sub will perform best not only based on your setup and material, but also on your room layout.

I looked at your gallery and I noticed on the pics you have a Polk PSW505 12" sub (old pic I guess). So, if you don't mind me ask, why are you buying a cylinder subwoofer?

mrpink,

if you would tell us the size of your HT room in cu. ft., including all the other room to which it is connected through open doorways;
and what kind of listening you do: movies/music/tv;
and at what level (re. Reference Level) you listen, then we can have some idea for subs we can recommend.

Just scored a used PC12-Ultra from audiogon, but luckily the guy was local so we didn't have to mess with shipping. Haven't had too much time to play with it yet, but so far I'm very impressed. I'm probably going to put it in my bedroom to go along with my 20-39 PC+, which is already overkill for my bedroom. Now I just gotta read up on how to best integrate dual subs.
