Hello,

A newbie question:

Will the Studio CC-490 match with Monitor 11 Series 7 front speakers or it's a wrong choice and I should better go with Monitor Center 3 (or another one that you could suggest to me)?

Thanks for your help.

It would be best to match the Series. Do you have the 490 now? if you do, Im sure you could use it for a while until you sell it and buy the Center 3. Otherwise just match them from the start.

No, I don't have it now. So it's better to take Center 3 because it is in the same serie? Even faced with CC-590?

If you are buying the Studio CC with the intent of upgrading the Monitors in the future by all means use the Studio. For the ideal "timbre" match you should use the monitor center. I recently had to sell my Studio 60s and am currently using my Studio CC with a pair of Atoms for the L & R channels and everything sounds just fine...

Thanks for your answers.

I will go for the monitor Center 3 to match with the monitors 11. The Studio serie is a little pricey for my budget.

Great choice. I recently purchased the series 7 Monitor 11s + Center 3 and moved my B&W bookshelves back into a 7.1 arrangement. My LCR setup gained huge impact with this move. Like you, the Studios were a little too pricy for me but I have absolutely zero regret.

Been lurking for awhile. First post.

I've just ordered a pair of Monitors 11 Series 7 + 1 Center 3 + 2 Surrounds 3, and for a great price I think (saved a lots of dollars on each vs regular price, saving 800$ at the end).

It's a canadian retailer if it can help someone looking for a good price. An example with the monitor 11 Series 7:

Now, I'm looking for tall stands for the two surround 3, to place them correctly in my living room. Any suggestions?

Cool

Hey guys, It's been awhile that I posted anything in here. Yesterday I was browsing here in the paradigm blog and ran across a gallery that had the studio 100's and he also had a turntable. Well, in front of the turntable he had an album cover with a 1950's jazz trumpet player, so I went to itunes and checked out his sound. He was amazing. Now, since I lost the page in itunes, i looked everywhere here to see if I can find this artist in the gallery pages, I since lost the guys name and i can't refer back anywhere to buy this guys song. anyone out there knows what I'm talking about? send a message, thx.

Paradigm is greeting its 30th anniversary with two extraordinary limited-edition speakers, the monitor-size Inspiration (only 300 to be made) and the Tribute tower (only 200 to be made). The camera flash made their dark gloss cherry enclosures gleam red though under ordinary lights they were duskier. Under the surface are seven layers of medium-density fiberboard. The tweeters are pricey beryllium and the seven-inch woofers are C-PAL carbon-anodized pure aluminum. The demo featuring the tower wowed us with awesome, effortlessly extended bass, sweet tangy brass, and a close-up and personal vocal perspective. While a companion center was not shown, there's probably something suitable in the Reference line, so there's no reason not to contemplate using these babies in a surround system. The monitor and tower ship in late October for $1299/each and $2999/each respectively. Get 'em while you can.

basically looks like a Sig S2 with a different looking cabinet and a black woofer as opposed to the gold-ish one on the S2

http://www.hometheater.com/content/p...tes-30th-style

I bet the C3 would pair best with this. Assuming the tower is a version of the S6 based on price.
