So far I've bought like 5 movies from Amazon, cuz sometimes it's easier and cheaper to buy them in Brazil.

I just bought the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Ultimate Edition on Blu-ray and there's a problem with it, so I came here to see if someone could help me with that. It's the portuguese audio track. When you play the extended version of the movie, the audio on the adicional scenes is the Portugal Portuguese Dubbing, when in fact it was suppose to be the Brazilian Portuguese Dubbing, like the rest of the movie. I'm desparate!

If someone has any idea of something I can do or a e-mail I can use to get in touch with Warner, please help me. Thank you in advance!

USA 120 Hz Blu-ray Sources

I was told by several techies that the only way my 120 Hz HDTV will run in 120 Hz mode is if the source material (streaming or disc) is spewing it out. So if true how do I search all the BD's to find some with 120 Hz?

Do you know any e-mail people use to get to contact Warner about replacement discs and stuff?

You are thinking about this all wrong. BD's do not come with 120hz. Most BD's output in 24fps. Go to Google and search: 120hz 24fps

The reflection will stay gone. Nobody wants that in there surely!? You wouldn't want to see the crew kicking about in a shot or production wires that aren't supposed to be there (as interesting and amusing as it can be).
Honestly, I won't lose any sleep over losing the reflection. It's just that Spielberg said that he would leave mistakes (like the wires in 1941) in the movies, even on Blu-ray, and I was just wondering whether he held on to that promise.
Blu-ray releases should be perfect representations of their cinema counterparts.

^ +1..very annoying that there's no appropriate place to post if I can't create new thread...

Just gonna post my question here.

Hi

Been lurking BR.com for a while...at least the reviews.

I am curious how one can sort reviews by date AND ratings?

Ie. I wish to see which movie scored 4.5+/5 during 2007.

If not, is there some way to remove TV shows & concerts away and just have a list of films?

TIA

Hello everyone! I'm new here. Stumbled across this forum and seems like a pretty cool place. I am an avid video games, movie, and music fan. Some of my favorite movies are The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Marvel movies, Batman series, and animated kids movies. Any Action/Adventure/Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Comedy films I'm most likely to watch. I've been trying to build my Vudu/Ultraviolet collection since I normally watch movies on my computer which lacks a Blu-ray reader and who wants to use DVD's anymore lol. I have a PS3 but have it hooked up on the TV in the other room. But anyway, happy to find a decent forum about movies!

Noooooooob here....popped in to say hi...been collecting DVD's for years and have ended up with well over a thousand, but have only just made the jump to Blu (was never convinced it would look as good on my Panasonic 42" Plasma as it did in the showroom....I was wrong!)...was bought a Sony BDP-S185 for birthday present...

...and one of my favourite movies ("Contact") on BD. Birthday evening was spent in front of the telly...sound system wound up...wow!!!!

Since then have picked up a few others - Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Gladiator, Paul, Independence Day, The Karate Kid (remake...soooooo much better than the DVD!)...love hearing stuff that makes my sound system work hard!!

So...hi all!

Aloha! Been lurking for a while but figured I should start posting. I made the switch from DVD to Blu-ray a couple of years ago and haven't looked back since. My favourite genres are action, fantasy and sci-fi, as well as most comic-book films but I'm always trying to branch out. I love video-games, football and anime in addition to movies, and I hate region-locking, censorship and paranoid anime licensors

Looking forward to discussing anything and everything about the glory that is Blu-ray with everyone!
