Cool, I figured it did 24p, but the only thing I found about it just said 60p. I won't be getting one any time soon, but I might eventually.

The edited content was where I mentioned something from the books about Tyrion, and then thought it might be considered a spoiler, so I removed it. I can't wait to read the last two books, if they ever get published, and I'm really looking forward to the season 2 BD's and season 3 premiere.
What's hoppin', Frogger?

Franin has really done a fantastic job on his HT.

I know you have more important things on your plate than a Darbee right now. And when you're ready, they will probably be on the next generation.

Saving me from spoilers. I appreciate that. I so can't wait for season 3. The blu box will be a day one purchase for me.

Yes sir, that's one excellent setup.

I have read that some people have had handshake issues with the Darblet, and also a couple of people have said that subtitles look unusual, but the comparison shots I've seen look very impressive. Hopefully the next generation will be even more refined.

I suppose you'll always come across some issues. But I believe they're few and far between. The only nagging issues I see is when using the Darblet with a Lumagen. For some reason those two don't play nice. But Darbee has issued a new fix for Lumagen owners. So we can cross that off now. I'm using the Darblet with a 50' HDMI cable and have no issues whatsoever. Knocks on wood.

I received a call this morning from the repair center doing my AVP upgrade. Apparently, I have a dead ethernet card. Of course it's out of warranty. But this didn't concern me, because I don't use the ethernet connection. Here's where it takes a turn for the better. They contacted Denon and Denon will cover the cost of a new ethernet card ($175). And if it's under 2 years, they'll even cover the labor. Sadly, I'm pretty sure I've had this longer than 2 years. But hey, at least I'm getting the card covered.

That's awesome customer service from Denon. I've had a similar experience with my 5-year old Canon DSLR. The mirror assembly broke and since it was out of warranty I was expecting around $300 to $400 for the repairs. Well Canon covered the cost of parts and labor.

That's a nice piece of news. So soon you will be able to update that HTIB of yours with new firmware soon.
[Show spoiler]I know that you know that I know that you know... I have always admire your system and that I'm just pulling your leg right now.
BTW the doc said my AC1 was going back to the good side.

Hey Wabo and HTG, is AV Science fast in shipping the Darblet? It appears that it is in stock in several places now.

They called me on Monday and told me they were getting a shipment in on Tuesday and my order was shipped yesterday afternoon. So yes they are fast. They are currently shipping them free via USPS. Patrick paid the extra money for faster transit time.

I took a chance with Solid Signal. They have a 30-day return policy (AV Science only has 15 days) and don't charge sales tax like AV Science does.

Congrats on getting your AVP upgraded mi amigo! And that's too awesome of Denon picking up the tab on the network card part. I'm sure the installation cost will be minimum. Denon's customer service for us AVP owners has been excellent!

Looking forward to your thoughts once you get your AVP back.
