Exact same steelbook in the UK and probably cheaper to order from Amazon.uk still.

NOT ENTIRELY THE SAME!!!

I'm sticking with my Amazon.co.uk order simply because the FutureShop version, like the US Target version, looks to have "BD + DVD" printed on the spine. The UK release only has "BD" listed on it. Since I will be removing and giving away the DVD, I don't want my case to falsely reflect the contents.
HT EQUIPMENT: Sony Bravia KDL-52W3000, Onkyo 805, B&W M-1s & AS-2 Sub, 60GB PS3, Toshiba HD-A2

PSN COLLECTION: Angry Birds, Bomberman Ultra, Flower, Joust, LBP: Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves, Magic Orbz, Super Stardust HD, Trials Of Topoq, Wipeout HD.

While this is true, I think it is more likely the case that the UK artwork isn''t completely final and that they will probably have the same case worldwide.

I'm with you on this DJ. At one time I would have taken a SteelBook over anything else, but with so many being released, I now prefer Digibooks where possible. I will be getting the Australian Digibooks of E.T. and Jaws.
Blu-ray Titles (521) includes - SteelBooks [149] 3D Movies [29] Digibooks (35) Viva Metal Box (18) Blu-ray/DVD Combos (110)

Ultimately, only time will tell. But, since they've had many images of the spine up in the UK for a longer period of time and haven't changed them to reflect the images of the NA version, I'm guessing that they finalized the case in Europe before NA.

If I'm wrong and they do add that stupid DVD logo to the UK spine, I'll cancel my order for the steelbook altogether.

Pre-order/order link:

Btw, what's with the new Steelbooks having "Blu-ray + DVD" on the spine?

That's why I'm going with the U.K. version. The pictures show a spine without that nonsense on it.

Does the UK version have the fugly age rating printed on it's front? Btw, are they always printed on or some steelbooks have stickers over the plastic packing?

European steelbooks have almost all exclusively removed the "printed on ratings logo" from their products. Anything produced in the last year or so has had a removable ratings logo in the form of a sticker or static cling rubbery... thing...

Check out the images on Play.com for a better example of what this will look like as a steelbook. They are the ones that have multiple angles available.

Petra, you don't know if the pictures you see online will actually look like that or not.

I already have my UK E.T. already pre-ordered too, but I think they will end up being the same SteelBook as the Future Shop one despite what they are showing online. So I'm thinking of canceling.

That is a gorgeous looking steel. I still think I'm going with the Digibook though. It'll match a little nicer with my Jaws Digibook.
