Darbiee shot. This was amazing.

Also got my first shots with noticable difference. Check out Ed Harris face on A Beautiful Mind. Not the best material, however it was what I was watching last night. Shots were taken very close and are only 20% of the picture. So my camera could capture the detail. The differences are representative of what I could see on screen.

No Darbiee

Darbie 60%

Darbie 60%

The detail was there it just get more noticable with the Darbee.
The extra detail really sucks you in.

New JVC came in yesterday, after a calibration I will post some new screen shots. Also picked up the Darbee which made a very noticable difference on my Viewsonic so I can only imagine how the JVC will look.

Can I ask which JVC model you picked up? I noticed that you have (or had?) a W7000U...

I bought the X3/RS40. I did have the BenQ W7000 but the 3D was giving my kids headaches and my wife did not really care for 3D in general. I really liked the W7000 but since one of the main reasons I bought it was for 3D I decided to send it back. I found a great deal on a brand new X3/RS40 for $2399 shipped so I jumed on it. The contrast and black levels are leaps and bounds above anything I have ever owned. The W7000 was a lot brighter but now I realize that a lot of the contrast was washed out compaired to the JVC.

I have the JVC lamp on high because I do like a bright and pop-like picture and it fills my 106" screen nicely. Very happy with my decision. Also having all power zoom, shift, focus and a automatic lens cover are nice perks.

I will try to get some screen shots up by tonight, I will post shots of the 3 projectors I have owned.

Ok, took only a few pictures. I will post more later after I get everything finished, still setting up the rest of the theater.

This thing is a beast but built like a tank.

Looking good dolphinc! And I agree, the JVC has a rather large foot print (not as large as the fridge like Infocus SP8602 I had) and it's a solid unit!

Can I ask which mount you are using?

Thanks, sorry for the sizes, I didn't realize how large they were until I uploaded them. That shot of Russell Crow looks amazing on your projector. You have the skin tones dialed right in on that Epson.

Peerless PRG Mount, I bought it for the W7000 and kept it when I sent the projector back. It can hold upto 50lbs and the JVC weighs in at 32lbs so no worries. I did use deep large screws and went right into a crossbeam.
