Avengers Coupon??? - Blu-ray Forum

Has anyone heard or read if Disney will be releasing a coupon for x amount off of the Avengers? If they are it should be live sometime this weekend.

At least we know there will be a Cinderella coupon next month. If you go to cinderellacoupon.com, it takes you to the DMR website.

According to the DMR facebook, there won't be a coupon for Avengers.

It's already 19.99 for the regular combo pack. That is down from the standard 22.99.

As a couple others stated, it's a no-go on the DMR coupon this time around. I suppose Disney wants to maximize the profits as much as they can on what could very likely be the best-selling blu of all-time.

I'm actually surprised that Disney is still doing coupons. I believe their original intent was to get the public on board with the Blu-Ray format. Now that blu-ray is pretty well known in the public eyes this isn't quite as necessary. The first coupons were $10 coupons. Then it was reduced to $8. Now it's $5 coupons but it's for the 3D versions only which again states that Disney is trying to nudge the public into buying 3D movies.

Buying at the local store used to be the best bet for Disney movies but now it's leaning towards Amazon as they typically offer Disney coupons on a pre-order basis months before a movie is released.

Best Buy, Target, and Amazon have it for $19.99 which is not bad for a new release these days. I think if there was a coupon the price would be $19.99 after using the Disney coupon.

I thought this was a Paramount film and Disney is just doing the distribution and therefore Disney doesn't feel the need to put out a coupon like they do for their own movies.

It's completely a Disney film, they just made a deal with Paramount that includes Paramount getting a cut of the profits and having their name on the film

my case has the Paramount logo on it a few places, but no Disney....maybe they'll send out replacements
