It will be fine with your speakers (assuming they play low enough to properly set the crossover as previously mentioned). Just hook it up and run Audyssey or calibrate with an SPL meter so that everything's balanced out and it won't overpower anything. Now whether it's more than you need or not is entirely subjective and only you can decide that.

No it won't as long as you run Audyssey. It will balance everything for you. Are you thinking of running 2 subs with your existing one?

maybe, but I am running a polk psw12, would that even make a difference?

No difference at all and 2 subs will be better than 1, just need to set them up properly. You might find info on setting up 2 subs in the stickies. It should be a good improvement as users say it evens out the bass response nicely when using more than 1.

Hi I ran Audyssey and let it do all the calibrations for me, but on the Sub it has Low Pass Mode & Phase, I'm not sure if i should change those too?
