It will be fine with your speakers (assuming they play low enough to properly set the crossover as previously mentioned). Just hook it up and run Audyssey or calibrate with an SPL meter so that everything's balanced out and it won't overpower anything. Now whether it's more than you need or not is entirely subjective and only you can decide that.

No it won't as long as you run Audyssey. It will balance everything for you. Are you thinking of running 2 subs with your existing one?

No difference at all and 2 subs will be better than 1, just need to set them up properly. You might find info on setting up 2 subs in the stickies. It should be a good improvement as users say it evens out the bass response nicely when using more than 1.

Hi I ran Audyssey and let it do all the calibrations for me, but on the Sub it has Low Pass Mode & Phase, I'm not sure if i should change those too?

Wheres all the klipsch fanatics???
Anyways if anyone sees this, got my first klipsch sub the other day, when I bought it, dude only had like 5 hours on it, so he said.. well, I believe hom now!
I've already downed the sub level on my receiver twice in just 3 short days...
Prolly put about 15 hours over weekend.. its not to shabby of a sub if I don't say so myself...

I'm your huckleberry. All my best equipment is Klipsch. I have the Quintet III system, a 350w sub, and the promedia 2.1 for my computer.
I just upgraded to the sub about 4 months ago and man, has it made a huge difference in sound. I was only using a 100w Sony for the longest but when tax time came this year, I knew it was time to upgrade. I had no idea how much I was missing. I was a little ignorant about subs until then but now I know how much a difference it can make in fullness of sound, thickness of engines, explosions, instruments, etc. There's so much more than just booming. My Klipsch system is now complete and now I know why quality subs are so important.

All this to say, for anyone looking into a sub for your surround system, pay the extra for a quality sub. I found that the Klipsch 350w was also the best for its price range as well. I'll be sticking with Klipsch from here on out as all of their products have far exceeded expectations.

Sony STR-DN1000 Receiver
Klipsch KB-15 Icon & Quintet III Speakers/350w SUB
LG BP125 Blu-ray Player
XBOX One + 360 Slim

It's ok if we have different opinions. It really is.

Rattle? What rattle?? The only thing rattling now is my teeth.
I couldn't ask for a better sub for the price I got it for either...
Say, just added a couple of risers to the subs in my living room, (which made a quite noticeable difference btw )contemplating this one as well. BUT, not so sure how it would fare seeing as how the port design is on this one...any thoughts?
