I've only bought 3 albums this year and I really like each of them.

Linkin Park - Living Things
Papa Roach - The Connection
The Raid - OST/Score

Will probably pick up Lupe's new one and Get Busy Committee's new one soon.

Slight update (might be my last, since the year's almost over now). Rankings might still chance as I listen to these albums more and more; a lot of the ones at the bottom of my list I haven't really touched since first listening to them.

1.) Celldweller - Soundtrack for the Voices in My Head Volume 2
2.) Lacuna Coil - Dark Adrenaline
3.) Therion - Les Fleurs Du Mal
4.) Celldweller - Wish Upon a Black Star
5.) Kosheen - Independence
6.) Arjen Lucassen - Lost in the New Real
7.) Delain - We Are the Others
8.) Van Halen - A Different Kind of Truth
9.) Jack White - Blunderbuss
10.) Tenacious D - Rize of the Fenix
11.) Slash - Apocalyptic Love
12.) Anathema - Weather Systems
13.) Epica - Requiem for the Indifferent
14.) Xandria - Neverworld's End
15.) Rush - Clockwork Angels
16.) Celldweller - Complete Cellout
17.) Dark New Day - New Tradition
18.) As I Lay Dying - Awakened
19.) Linkin Park - Living Things
20.) Shinedown - Amaryllis
21.) Santana - Shape Shifter
22.) Green Day - Uno
23.) BT - If The Stars are Eternal So Are You And I
24.) Apollo 440 - The Future's What It Used to Be
25.) BT and Various Artists - Laptop Symphony
26.) Orbital - Wonky
27.) Madonna - MDNA
28.) The Ting Tings - Sounds From Nowheresville
29.) Garbage - Not Your Kind of People
30.) I See Stars - Digital Revolution
31.) BT - Morceau Subrosa
32.) P!nk - The Truth About Love
33.) Rob Zombie - Mondo Sex Head
34.) A Hero A Fake - The Future Again
35.) Mick Flannery - Red to Blue
36.) Loreena McKennitt - Troubadours on the Rhine
37.) Overseer - We Search, We Dig
38.) Veil of Maya - Eclipse

Soundtracks:
1.) Russell Brower - Diablo III Video Game Score
2.) James Newton Howard - Hunger Games Film Score
3.) Thomas Newman - Skyfall Film Score
4.) Hans Zimmer - Dark Knight Rises Film Score
5.) Various Artists - Underworld: Awakening Soundtrack
6.) Akira Yamaoka and Various Artists - Lollipop Chainsaw Video Game Soundtrack
7.) Various Artists - Avengers Soundtrack
8.) Scott R Morgan - [Prototype 2] Video Game Score

All in all, I'm pretty darn happy. A few of my top favorite bands (Therion, Lacuna Coil, and especially Celldweller, which put out three in a row four years after the dude's last album) put some kick-ass stuff this year, and a lot of the rock albums have been fun. If there's any point of contention, it would be the pop and techno albums, which aren't bad but never really blew me away (although Kosheen makes it high up there for me).

I have purchased an album created 2007-ish Burial: Untrue. After 4 or so months I still have my regular listen to this. Outstanding album.

They have a new album coming out? Or are you talking about Uzi Does It? I can't remember exactly where I read it, but Apathy and Scoop both said the Committee was done (I think it was on Twitter). They were working on a new album (Opening Ceremony) but decided to call it quits or something like that. They released a few songs from it but the album is still unreleased and is not coming out anytime soon if ever.

My favorites of 2012:

Copywrite - God Save The King
Chino XL - Ricanstruction
Madchild - Dope Sick
Prevail - Spasefase
La Coka Nostra - Masters Of The Dark Arts
Vinnie Paz - God Of The Serengeti
Apathy - Fire Walk With Me (Alien Tongue was pretty good too)
