Looking to purchase a 3DTV for my bedroom going to be used for mostly Blu's/PS3 games/Streaming. I have a max budget of $800 or so. I was looking around at BF ads and found that BestBuy is offering the:
Samsung - 40" Class - LED - 1080p - 120Hz - 3D - HDTV (UN40EH6030FXZA) for $492 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+...=5#tab=reviews I couldn't find too many reviews on it, so I'm a bit iffy. I did view it in person and it looked pretty good, but still would like to hear some advice since I'm new to the 3DTV scene. I also spotted 2 LG models: the LG 47LM7600 for $699 (on BF) http://www.amazon.com/LG-47LM7600-47.../dp/B006ZH0KVG and the other LG model: LG 42LM6200 for $800. http://www.amazon.com/LG-42LM6200-42...eywords=LM6200 Can anyone help me decide between those? I'm also open to any other suggestions you may have. SmartTV functions are not important to me as I have a PS3. Thanks |

I just bought me a 55" LG 3D tv yesterday and loving it. I have heard good things about samsungs and LG but don't know how good those particular sets are. One thing I did when I was researching tvs is I looked at reviews on YouTube. That was pretty helpful. Good luck. Hope you find a tv you will enjoy.

I just purchased an LG 47CM565...great picture, fantastic 3D, great internet reviews. My sister liked it so much she's buying the same model. I bought mine on sale at Best Buy...Wal-Mart and Target have it on sale now. Uses passive 3D glasses from movie theater. This is last year's model but the price is less than $650 compared to list of $999.

I have the 42LM6200.
You HAVE to shut off "Super Resolution" if you get it, or it causes massive judder. PQ is 4.5/5, Audio is 3/5. It's probably the best TV out of all my friends and other than I question it being a legit 120hz instead of LG's weird algorithm to "Fake" the 120hz, it's a great TV
TV: LG42LM6200 3DTV / Panasonic Viera TC-P50UT50
Blu Ray Player: Seiki BD 660 / Sony BDP-S590 HTPC: Running Ubuntu w/ XBMC Consoles: Wii / Xbox 360 -I swear, I'm so pissed off at my mom. As soon as she's of age, I'm putting her in a home. |

Out of that list of sets you have your eyes on, I'd buy the LG 47LM7600. From what I've seen in the stores, it's your best bet from that list.

After four different Panny 65VT50s all exchanged due to manufacture defects of dead pixels and/or louder than normal buzzing, exchanging for the Samsung 65ES8000. Not sure if I'm goi going to like edge lit LED compared to the Plasma, but as superb as the Panny image was, too many other issues that at this time I'm not willing to live with until I at least test out other sets. Like the Sony HX950 also, but price is kind if steep for a set that doesn't seem to provide that much of an upgrade over the other brands.
Sony XBR 65HX950, Oppo BDP103, Yamaha RX-3800, original PS3 60gfat.
