well looks like this time it is really coming out.
better late than never I guess.
thanks to everyone that has followed the never ending saga of My Dog Tulip blu-ray.

Hello fellows!
Just like you, I'm very exited for this upcoming Blu-ray edition of one of the most amazing dog-related story in animation history.

A couple of weeks ago I received an email from amazon.com about the status of this item:

“Hello, We're writing about the order you placed on November. We do not have an estimated delivery date for the items below. We will email you with an update on your delivery date in 30 days, or as soon as the items are ready to ship.

Christopher Plummer, et al "My Dog Tulip [Blu-ray]"

We will make every effort to get the delayed item(s) to you as soon as possible.”


Besides of this email, the release date in amazon.com is still January 8th, 2013. So let’s hope that the next week all of us can be very happy for the release of this film in BD.

New Yorker Films has advised me today that My Dog Tulip has been delayed again. There's an unofficial new street date of February 12, but that's strictly a placeholder for our listing here at Blu-ray.com. I'll post more definite information when I have it.

(I realize the Amazon listing still says January 8, but I'm talking to the person directly responsible for the disc.)

New Yorker has got real issues.
maybe they should just admit they clearly aren't competent enough to release on blu-ray.
It's beyond apparent at this point.

That's a shame, and unfortunately I wonder if this will go the DVD only route like so many lesser-known animated films.

Any news? Amazon send me an email regarding if I want to cancel my preorder or continue waiting (if the miracle happens)... it's a shame I really was looking foward to have this masterpiece in my library.

yeah I figured since they actually issued a press release that the bd might actually come out now.
glad its finally coming out, but all the delays have left a bad taste in my mouth and the price certainly doesn't help any.
maybe I'll get it one day. who knows.
Congrats New Yorker films on getting My Dog Tulip out 2 years late.
wonder how much it is at importcds?
EDIT: so it's $26.55 at importcds vs. $39.95 at amazon for anybody wondering.

I did. Seems like the best deal around. No shipping cost and no taxes. I highly doubt the price will drop below that on Amazon.
