I use the B&W HTM 685 bookshelf as my surrounds they sound amazing alsoyou can use the B&W HTM 686 bookshelf which i use for surrounds before i upgraded to the 685 the 686 do a great job but the 685 do a better job its more dynamic very noticeable difference also you can get the B&W DS3 it gives you the option of Dipole or Monopole mode but there a little pricey just saw your HT set up very nice gear i would focus on the front B&W speakers as of front L,R&center and see if the Mirage OMDR's and Def Tech 8040's are good match

All the mirage speakers are sold. I'll use the def techs for now ,but if I got the CM9's,CMC2,I want surrounds for the sides,I'd leave the def techs in the back for 7.1. Might have to go with a different brand. I won't use book shelf speakers.

I thought you did not like the sound of the B&W's when I mentioned the CM9. The CM9 are very nice.

When a movie is playing, and with the lights out, are you looking at the speakers or watching the movie?

Or

Are you telling us you like how the towers look when they are not playing? Something like a statue in a room or a fireplace, you like how the mantle look above the fireplace?

I hear that's common with fullblooded boxers, they are prone to have medical problems. I hope your pet comes out alright.

The Boxer is doing great, thank you for the Concern,he's a great dog. I listened to the CM9's ,CM8's and Sonus Faber Veneers. Liked the Fabers the most. I actually liked the CM8's more than the CM9's . I thought the CM9's were way too busy at the top end. With a sub,the 8's were a lot smoother..
