Default George A. Romero's "Day of the Dead," Blu-ray from Scream! Factory in 2013!

Announced at HorrorHound this weekend along with The Fog, The Howling, The Burning, Night of the Comet, and Lifeforce!

This could mean a whole new set of titles for Scream! to acquire if they are getting former Anchor Bay titles.

The next year shall be interesting for us horror fans!

Awesome! I've held out buying Day of the Dead for a while but it's a title I'd like to own. I've liked all of Scream Factory's releases so far so I will continue to keep preordering them even if I haven't seen them as long as their quality remains high.

As awesome as that would be, I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon because Image has the rights to Creepshow 2

If it's a new scan for DAY OF THE DEAD, hell yeah I'm in! But if they're just going to dust off the old "Divimax" master, I'm probably going to sit this one out. Already have AB's release, and at this point I've seen enough bonus features for this film to last a lifetime.

EDIT: "New Extras!!" being the key selling point isn't a great start... but hey, we'll see.

Day of the Dead is already on BD from Anchor Bay and it actually looks and sounds decent. Is this a new master?

I recently re-watched the Anchor Bay Blu-ray and it's pretty good. Curious on to what new extras mean. 50/50 so far on this announcement, mainly b/c my AB release is autographed by Joe Pilato, Greg Nicotero, Howard Sherman, and Tom Savini.

My favorite Romero film. Hopefully this is a new master, and that SF don't use DNR/EE like they did with They Live.

I don't how Scream can top Anchor Bay's edition (especially their Blu-ray for righting the wrong of including the original Mono track). I'll buy this nonetheless but if some of the extras aren't ported over, I'll still keep my Anchor Bay release.

I'd kill to have some interviews on the Blu-ray from HIM!

Nailwraps, there really isn't too much on the DVD other than a 40-minute documentary, old Savini archival footage, and the Richard Liberty interview.
