Niche market? You realize that in terms of units sold, the Wii "won" this generation, right?

The "launch window" games will be be pretty decent. Based on what I've played at the past two E3s and some private events since then, obviously Mario will be a fun title to have at the holiday parties, but I'm really looking forward to Pikmin 3. That said, Pikmin 3 uses the GamePad pretty unimpressively compared to some of the other titles out there, such as ZombieU and NintendoLand.

Almost here! Doing the midnight launch. I have to get Ninja Gaiden 3; nostalgic reasons. I had the original on NES as a kid. Hayabusa is back where he belongs. Ah that new system smell

Mine shipped from walmart, just saw the email. Looks like a Tuesday delivery per the tracking information.

I think that promo is only for PS3 and 360 games only.

No, I have the ad in hand (literally in my hand as I type this). It says, "ALL Xbox 360, Wii U & PS3 video games priced 59.99 or more!" It also has a picture of ScribbleNauts UNLIMITED(which is starting to look extremely tempting btw) and AC3(Wii U version). So $45 per game

But again, this is a "All Day Friday & Saturday!"

Cool. I thought it was just the bogo 40% off Nintendo 3DS, Wii and Wii U games $49.99 and below.

In Scribblenauts is fun. Played it at E3.

Just got a call from Gamestop where I preordered my deluxe wii u. they only received 5 total Wii U consoles. I am the ONLY one of them that get's a Deluxe. Happens that I was the first one to preorder at that store and they only got 1 deluxe.

when they called i was starting to freak out. i heard a lot of people didn't get theirs b/c they didn't receive enough.

i got 2 phone calls. both calls were about 3 minutes apart.

1st call) telling me that i can pick up my wii u deluxe set tomorrow
2nd call) telling me that i can pickup super mario bros. u

The IGN reviews of Wii U launch games are decent.

Scribblenauts Unlimited - 8.8
New Super Mario Bros. U - 9.1
Nintendo Land - 8.7
Ninja Gaiden III: Razor's Edge - 7.6

Decent? Anything above 7 is pretty damn good if you ask me.

Least we forget there are some solid eShop titles as well. Factoring those in I'd say this is a really good launch lineup with a lot of variety.

A couple reviews are coming in for Wii U at IGN. Arkham City gets a 9.5 and Darksiders gets a 7.5, which are the same scores for the 360/PS3 versions, as well.

Yeah, the guy was streaming live at the time. Basically showed the layout, eshop, web browser (no flash...), played a few games, etc.

And

for that 9.5 for Batman AC. I still haven't played it despite the fact that Batman AA was/has been one of my favorite games of this generation. Needless to say, I will be purchasing this in a couple hours.

I've been wanting one of these more and more. Are they going to be scarce?

I do wish they had just done the fancy tablet controller as a Vita type super-DS or something instead of a core component but then again I was hoping the Vita would be more integrated into the PS3 than it is, too.
