![]() Here is a picture of the mic on the stand. I used my jig saw tp cut out a wedge. Then i cut a piece of scrap and made a platform. Put 2 screws in the bottom, works well even on angles. Forgive the ugly furniture! My wife won't part with it. |

![]() Well, it has been a while. My wife picked this curtain rod out. Looks great to me. Blackout Drapes are coming. Finally got enough money together to order carpet. Right now it is being made in Georgia and should be installed in 3 weeks or so. |

![]() I had an outlet in the ceiling that i wanted to use. This flushmount light with its alibaster glass is functional without throwing a lot of light out like a conventional light. It uses 2 60 watt bulbs and will provide enough light to see, but not too much for a theater room. Also it won't interfere with the projection from a projector, which is why i chose it. As you can see the prespective from projector location to light location. Can be used with dimmer as well. |

![]() We decided on this underpad, to have a soft cushioning on our feet and to protect our backs when doing such things as Kinect. Our physiotherapist also recommended it as he is seeing more and more people with hardwood floors coming in with lower lumbar pain. |

![]() Here is the 55oz carpet my wife and i chose. The quality carpet should easily last 10 years and give great acoustical dampening. It will be warm in the winter as well. TIP: We were told by a contractor friend of my fathers that you want a 50 oz or above carpet for durabilty and comfort reasons, especially helpful is to have a sub floor over concrete. |

![]() The theater room is finally done. It has taken well over a year and health situations for myself and my wife. Money was very tight at times and we almost were not ever going to complete this project. We are both doing better now and getting back on our feet. I had a lot of fun doing this project. Through the literal blood, sweat and tears, we put into this i cannot wait to furnish it and enjoy it this fall. Adding new gear will be fun! Thanks to everyone for taking time to look at this gallery. For those of you that left comments i really appreciate them. Thanks for all the nice words. If anyone out there has any questions, please ask on my thread or PM me. Last edited by sonic_debauchery; 09-25-2012 at 08:03 PM. |

I forgot to give kudos to Lowes carpet installers. Excellent guys to work with. Their supervisor came to the site even to make sure everything was going well. The 2 installers were very knowledgeable and did an outstanding job. They even did follow up to see if we were happy after the install, about 5pm today.
Thanks Lowes. |

I started by upgrading my paradigm reference series speakers to Golden Ear Triton II's last summer. I got a very good deal on them. I am planning on: 3d bluray player (not sure which one yet) Onkyo 3010 in June or July Optoma hd33 or benq w 7000 haven't decided yet. Perhaps an emo amp? I would eventually like to add a 4th subwoofer, right now i am very interested in the powersound audio subs. |

Just pulled the trigger on the Sony S790. Like the fact that it gives as good a picture as the Oppo. The Oppo of course is built like a tank. But not worth the extra $300 to me. Especially when i picked up this player for $200.
