Instead I got a film which had He-man and his friends spending most of the its running time in what looked like someone's backyard. No Eternia, No Battle-Cat...random henchmen that seemed cobbled together from whatever could be scraped off the make-up department floor. Langella's portrayal of Skeletor had some interesting moments, but the film was underwhelming in a soul-destroying manner.

I guess this is quite subjective, the movie released in 1987, i was 6 years old. I remember loving the series as well, my dad even bought the He-Man and skeletor figurines with the battle cats, for me, the excitement of seeing a real life movie version of the series outweighed all the facts stated above. i somehow still feel that feeling when i re-watch. We made an outing of the day when we watched this for the first time in the movies in 1987. It was loads of fun and my brother and i can still recount the wonderful atmosphere and excitement. All this contributes to the happy memory...

I watched this movie In 1996 with my bro at home on VHS (I was 7 years old at that time I loved He-Man series & I used too play with He-Man and skeletor figurines with the battle cat & Some more villains ) this movie don't have big action scenes like the animated show but I think at that time they had budget or VFX issues but We enjoyed this movie at that time & my bro passed away 5 years ago so when I read about this movie I got emotional(that time was 1 of my happiest & cherish-able moment with him) .....

After nearly two and half months I received my BD today from amazon.de.
I received it from DTDC courier and not by post, could be the reason for delay(may be).
I found the case of Da Vinci very sleek- liked it. It was about 50% slim than the regular UK BD's and 20% than the US ones.
Would definitely think ten times before ordering from amazon.de, hate to wait for such long.

Mine order was sent through i-parcel. If your parcel is sent through it, then ask amazon to sent it through German post (what other members suggested me-but mine order was dispatched before I could...). Heard bad things about i-parcel and after my bitter experience I would recommend you to go with German post.

Even I had terrible experience with I-parcel when AMZ US used it for my deliveries. Almost every parcel used to take 2 months plus. ****ing shitty service.

I understand the sentiment! A movie can be really bad sometimes, when you are younger, you a have different outlook on these things. i am sure there many other movies i can watch now, and just think to myself, what on earth did i like about this movie? But this one still remains a favourite.

You guys are taking about He-Man being a bad movie? Lol, when I was younger, I was a huge fan of Joel Stomacher's 'Batman and Robin' .

^ Hah, compared to some of us "elderly people" on this forum, you're quite young as is. If you talk about younger days, we have to imagine you as a child that must be forced to drink his milk so he can grow big and strong

Well, to be fair, I actually was that young when I liked Batman and Robin . I was around 7 or 8 I think. I liked Adam West's Batman as well

Still better than the bomb scene in The Dark Knight Rises .

The only thing I ordered from Amazon US during the Black Friday period. Actually it's still available for the same price ($24.99), but it's something I had been considering and I certainly think it's a nice price for a very nice set. I was watching the first disc today, and I found the cartoons here a lot more hilarious than the Tom & Jerry Classic Collection vol. 1 I had previously bagged.

Anyway, photographs up ahead. I have to compulsorily use the flash because my aged camera has no image stabilization and anything without flash looks blurry/noisy.

^ No duty charges stamped / written on the box. I contacted Amazon but was told that refund could take up to 60 days after shipment. I left feedback saying that 2 months gap is too long but I'm not going to waste time repeatedly asking them since I don't normally order direct India delivery from Amz US. I just hope Amz UK doesn't start doing the same shit.

@ravenus @srini @amit

Great buys!

ravenus, I had that in my wishlist for a while, and i am stumped that i completely overlooked it during BF price drops!! EEk

Thanks to Srini, i got Supernatural Season 7 for $16.99, that is awesome. waiting for delivery. The price of the Futurama Season 7 pre-order also dropped, i took that opportunity as well. I just wished The Simpsons season 15 would have also dropped.... but will monitor the price.
