+1. I wanted to get a piece of the special pre-order pricing on SB13-Ultra @ $1499 but SVS didn't have gloss black in stock and I was told wait 2 weeks. Later when gloss black becomes available the price had gone up to $1599. Not happy that I missed out on the special pricing I waited to see if there was any special Black Friday pricing. No. Price is still showing $1599.

They should have stuck-by the pre-order pricing for the gloss black, or at least let you pre-order instead of saying come back in 2 weeks only to find the price had gone up. To me the $100 is a deal breaker.

Call them. Tell them the situation and you never know. They may give it to you at that price and tell them you were instructed to call back in 2 weeks and that the $100 is a deal breaker...

I've sort-of lost the faith in my experience with SVS thus far. Their local distributor is impossible to contact, the unanticipated $100 price rise, they'll sell to me direct but I have to pay for the shipping, and absolute absence of local support. This has put Rythmik firmly on my radar as an alternative option, unless of course their game-plan changes in the next week.

I'm with Raynist on this one. Shipping to China a subwoofer the size of SVS systems. UGH! I can't imagine...

Yes, we will honor the $1499 price for this customer. And we also give credit for our free shipping policy for all international shipments (which basically covers anything outside of the CONUS borders including AK and HI). In the case of the SB13U, it would be a $50 credit toward the cost of shipping to China.

SVS have been in contact and offered me a solution here...thanks
(p.s. I wasn't chasing free shipping to China, I just wanted the China distributor to sell to me locally but that proved to be impossible).

Once, I got a price to ship to China. The box was about 18" high, 12" wide and weighed 25 lbs. The cost was going to be about $400.00.

bang on the money, that's what it's going to cost (only the sub weighs quite a bit more than 25lbs).

Well we can't be completely surprised that corners have been cut given the price. I'm sure these will be great subs for those who don't really have $1000 to blow on a subwoofer. But I doubt they come close to the PB & SB 12's. To be fair they really aren't supposed to be.

As an owner of dual PB10-NSD's which were $499 apiece plus shipping, I fully understand. I can't wait to see Audioholics and others review them

Now the PB10's were close to the 12's

I wish they would also make PB-12 with that wooden finish, it looks much more beautiful than that awfull plastic. I wonder is pb-1000 better than my old 20-39 pci If its equal or better, then i might upgrade.
