They were probably the worst BCS conference team this season. Colorado went 1-11 and were outscored by 338 points, an average margin of defeat of 28 points. The only game they won was by 1 point.

If I had a vote in the poll I'd rank Florida above Georgia. Ya, Georgia beat Florida, I know. But here are the numbers. Georgia's one loss was far more embarrassing than Florida's one loss and Georgia's schedule was MUCH easier.

I guess he forgot that he lost his division last year and still ended up in a BCS bowl, while the loser (UGA) was on the outside.

He was referring to the fact that Florida will be going to the Sugar Bowl instead of the loser of the SEC championship game. With the loser going to the Capital One bowl.

Lots of assumptions in there though, I imagine if Georgia somehow wins Alabama would go to the Sugar Bowl over Florida, although that's just a guess.

Gotcha... Not sure why he cares lol unless he's doing damage control in case of a loss, but lets be honest if Bama loses and even if they won their bowl game the seasons still considered a fail.

What's the rule here? Can 3 teams from the same conference make a BCS game? I would think if it's possible Alabama, Georgia and Florida could possibly all make BCS games. Heck, even Texas A&M could have a case.

Only 2 teams from a conference can make a BCS bowl, and it's considered to be a virtual certainty that Florida will go to the Sugar Bowl while the SEC champion goes to the title game.

I'm not 100% but I think if you have a team in the NC game you can have three.

He shouldn't have had to take the Louisville job to begin with. With his resume as an assistant at Florida should have been enough to have landed a big time job a few years ago.

But as far as Embree goes that has everything to do with him doing a terrible job at Colorado. I know two years isn't a long time but you can't go 1-11 and end up the worst BCS conference school in the nation and expect to keep your job.

losing to Sacramento St. would be enough for any BCS coach to get fired. when this guy went on his tirade about black coaches not getting a fair shake of the dice someone should have reminded him of this loss. that's all the reasoning to get fired a school needs!

Point spreads for championship week. I still can't believe a 6-6 team made the ACC title game. Wisconsin wasn't much better, only making the conf title game at 7-5 because both Ohio St. and Penn St. are on probation.

The limit is 2 except for one highly unlikely case...

If the top 2 teams are from the same conference and neither is the conference champion, then the top 2 would play for the BCS Championship, and the auto-qualifier would play in his conference's BCS bowl.

It's an unlikely scenario, but according to BCS selection procedures:

No more than two teams from a conference may be selected, regardless of whether they are automatic qualifiers or at-large selections, unless two non-champions from the same conference are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the final BCS Standings.

Bowl projections I'm seeing go something like this. Not really a lot that interests me outside of the BCS title game and the Fiesta bowl with K-State vs. Oregon. Of course a lot depends on what happens this week.

BCS Championship: Notre Dame vs. Alabama
Orange: Florida St. vs. Rutgers
Rose: Stanford vs. Nebraska
Sugar: Florida vs. Oklahoma
Fiesta: Oregon vs. Kansas St.

Other possible match ups:
Cotton: Texas vs. LSU
Capital One: Michigan vs. Texas A&M
Chick-fil-A: Clemson vs. Georgia

O'Brien did a helluva job for us this year. I mean with all the stuff that went down with Penn State and losing most of our good players and we still went 8-4. Thats a great year considering the circumstances. I thought it was gonna be like my Hoosiers (basketball) all over again but to no avail. I think we can become contenders again within 2 years and maybe as early as next year. Got Em!!
