So I am looking at grabbing a tc-p65VT Panasonic. I have a 2010 S14 Panasonic now and I was wondering if I will see a big improvement by moving up to the VT. Any info would be helpful

I havnt heard any about rising blacks. The only major complaints I have heard about this years models is they have bad or prone to Image Retention but this has been hit or miss. Some people say they get IR from just leaving a image on screen for like a min and other people say they leave static images on for hrs and have no problems

I own a GT50 since a few month and being a huge fan of 3D, I was expecting this set to be among the best of its class. Unfortunatly after looking at some 3D pics (MPO format) I grab since end of 2009 when they introduced the Fujifilm 3D camera, I was disapointed by some clearly visible crosstalk.
I want to know how 3D movies look. Anyone with this set watched TRON Legacy for example which I believe would be one of those movie where crosstalk could be a problem? I don't own a Blu-Ray player yet but that's on my list for 2013 as I plan to get a few 3D titles. Don't get me wrong, this TV have awesome 2D quality but in 3D I cannot say I'm totally satisfied, and I can't tell you exactly how I feel about such an investment. That's our 1st HD TV. P.S. The same day I installed the set I went back to the shop and tested the same picure on a VT50 and crosstalk was the same. I can send an MPO file for those who want to see/test. Thanks Last edited by Rhialto; 12-12-2012 at 01:52 PM. |

I have a 60" GT50. No cross talk either. And I love the 2D+ conversion of 2D to 3D. There are long threads on the GT version on a couple of high end video websites and I haven't seen any issues there either.

I will be starting a thread soon to share information on the calibration of my 65GT50. You may have seen my settings posted on other forums as well.
EDIT: They have been posted. Links to them can also be found in my signature line. Last edited by Black Ops; 12-13-2012 at 06:20 PM. |

it works pretty well on some things. It added some depth to Jurassic Park but on music videos it was'nt that great.
