Default What is better? Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood-Part 1 on blu or the Collection set?

Just got finished watching the first episode of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and I am hooked! Though I am curious what is best to get on blu-ray the Parts or the Collection sets? I can't decide!

The two collection sets are simply the discs from the single parts collected. Save yourself some money and pick up the 2 collection sets.

They're not the same discs, as Parts 1-5 totaled 10 discs while the two collections total 8. So they restructured them somewhat, but they are exactly the same content-wise and PQ/AQ.

With the total cost of the collections being ~$57 on amazon, it's a total no-brainer though, go for those. I do think one big set is inevitable down the road, but I doubt it'll be any cheaper than the current prices for the entire series.

The English subtitles were improved on the two collections too, the white subtitles were smaller and more difficult to read on the Part 1 - 5 releases.

Rightstuf has the Collection releases for $28.29 each right now. I think that's all the motivation you need to get the Collection releases over the Parts.

See this is exactly why I shouldn't be posting late at night after working.

Combined they're lacking two discs though so there may be quality loss compared to the single releases.

I own the 5 parts and they look awesome on the shelf! They also have artcards

Because both are already available and I've read from a few people at anime-related forums that they're exactly the same. Plus, don't you think we'd know already if there were any downgrades in the transfer?

It's almost guaranteed to be expensive as hell.

Sorry. I didn't mean to make you wait so long. Please forgive my negligence.
