Default Are there any movies about the second coming of Christ?

I can't think of any, but think the topic could make a great movie.

It's not on Blu-ray, but the Left Behind series should be right up your alley. Another movie not on Blu-ray would be The Rapture, though that is really a secular perspective on the end times pictured in the Bible.

Um, not to spoil the "surprise" ending of Omen III: the Final Conflict, but...

[Show spoiler](Okay, so it's just a montage of blblical quotes, and the "conflict" up to that redefines Anti-Climax, but darn, that's some of Jerry Goldsmith's best music for the series.)

Whilst it's not a film there was British mini series 10 years ago called The Second Coming with Christopher Eccleston, it was brilliant and if you can find it I think you'd enjoy it.

In its own respect, The Matrix trilogy could fall under your requested categorical reference.

+1. The Rapture is a very interesting exploration of faith, divine calling & existential rage. It's occasionally off putting and confounding, but never boring.

Also, Knowing (in a way) deals with these concepts.
