I sit dead center when I watch my HX929 and I hardly ever notice any kind of blooming. When I look at it at a very extreme off axis angle, I can sometimes see some slight blooming.

For the people who placed their HX929 on the wall, which mounts did you use? I have mine on a stand, now I want to mount it on the wall, and move my center channel speaker to the top shelf of the stand. I was checking out this one.
http://www.omnimount.com/products/tv...active/play70/ As far as hiding cables goes, did you just run them in the wall? Thanks for the info. John

I bought the Sony Bravia 65HX929 in April.
I must say this is Best TV I ever have. The picture of this TV set is just.... ![]() ![]() The first time I saw Avatar on Blu-ray I was in heaven (well in Pandora...) Really... I feel like discovering all my "old" Blu-ray with this TV... And this set has also a great 3D area. Avatar 3D, Samy, and many more are better on this set than at Theatre. No blooming as some report. No issue at all with PS3 gaming either. I use the Sony specific stand for my 65HX929 (see my avatar).

No. I don't have seen any problem with this set even If I sit anywhere but dead center. The black stays deep black and the colors looks the same. I don't see any differences. The Black is incredible on this TV. You can't see any difference betwen the TV black borders and the picture when the image is just black only. The first time I was really surprised ... I even think the TV had a problem.. really. The Black is just awesome on this TV. As the colors are pure, rich and always natural. The 2D picture of this Sony is really the best picture I've ever seen on any TV. I was searching for the best picture. I Saw a lot of other gear from other set but none has impressed me like this one. I'm really : all the time with this Sony.I saw Madagascar 3 2D Blu-ray last night (I will see it in 3D Blu-ray this week) This is just insane. I've never seen sutch an incredible picture quality. again.

I'm trying to decide between this and the panny vt50. The cnet review kinda scared me with its review on this that's why I like to ask people who have this and their input cause I hear just as good results. Thanks would love to see some pics when you post em.

Hello friends,
I have owned my SONY XBR65HX929 for close to 6 months now and I'm happy to report that I have no Cnet issues, or any other issues, whatsoever. I will also state that ISF calibration and supplying balanced power to the XBR65HX929, also, in my experience, will result in a picture better than a Kuro. Happy viewing, HTinP

I was really surprised about some reviews I read. Some review are sometimes "strange"... ![]() Just one thing : Cnet review says 3D glasses not inclued .... Wrong ! I had 2 pairs of 3D Glasses and one Sony Skype HD camera with my TV set!! Anyway Cnet review is not bad :" In short, it represents the pinnacle of LCD picture quality". Strange that some other Sony Tv sets had better reviews... Even If theses Sony other Tv's are really great none is as good as the 65HX929. If you want to choose Take a look by yourself at some retailers. Even If you MUST have to tune the set up - as you must do for every tv set - you will be able to see the difference. Anyway this is also a matter of what you need and like as pictures, colors quality... I love the Monolith Design of this TV... There 's some kind of Kubrick's 2001 in this Monolith Design... If you get the specifc stand this 65HX929 is pure design. You MUST buy the specific stand not only as this will improve the design of the 65HX929 but you won't be afraid to see your Tv fallen... I was so scared to see how mutch the original stand looks fragile or unstable at some retailers.... I bought the specific stand the day I bought the 65HX929. Yes the stand is suppose to be a audio system too... Pics asap...

Hey everyone, I had sort of a silly question. I recently upgraded to a Sony 55HX929 so I thought I would post this in here. I tried to search it but to no avail.
I recently upgraded to the 55HX929 from a 6 year old 50" Pioneer Plasma. Has anyone else noticed any sort of visual effects related to these newer LCD's? I ask because between my brothers 65" Samsung 8000 series and my new television, I can't seem to watch anything for a long period of time. Anything > 60 minutes I guess. I seem to be getting headaches, or sometimes it just seems like I am having eye strain, and have to take a break every so often. This has never happened before, and it never happens when I go see movies at a movie theater, but only at home. Any ideas?? Or is it just me? Thanks in advance!
