Far Cry 3

The first 10 mins of the game were better then the first 7 hours of AC3. Crazy great intro. I can't wait to play this game more then 1 hour

my feelings exactly, very annoyed with AC 3. Far cry 3 has really shocked me! could possibly be my game of the year. its so much fun! very unexpected after my feelings towards far cry 2!!

I agree, AC3 was one of the least fun videogames I have ever played. I'm currently on chapter 10.

Damn, sparking my interest. Far Cry 2 sounded like the game I would love, then I played it and just didn't like it much at all. Now I really want to play Far Cry 3.

You could always rent it to see if you like it. But I'm going to tell you right now that you are going to love it as I was the same way with FC2.

Haha, the crocs are bane of Jason's existence! Great that you love this,this game just keeps on giving.

Has anyone re-enacted Rambo 2 yet? Saw pirates manning a fuel depot. Stood on a rock,got my explosive arrows out and KA-BOOM.... airborne pirates at 12 o'clock!

I'm giving them a war they don't understand!

Also. Did anyone get to that one part where Jason calls the jeep a truck? Twice? Because there's a part where he calls a jeep a truck. It's not a truck. It's a jeep. Dude. If there's one thing I know about. It's jeeps in Far Cry.

A few things about the config options and gameplay give me the impression it's a console port. That would explain the above. And if it is a port, I think overall they did a good job. The graphics for one are excellent!

Completely agree. I'm just not an AC fan. I didn't last 3 hours with AC3, not even as a GF rental. It went back the next day.

b/c I just got COD, I try not to buy too many games at once as they tend to just sit there un played... Kinda like RDR GOTY and Rock Smith which I have had since last Christmas and haven't even opened! Still haven't finished UC3 yet either. Stupid COD.

I've lost track of how many hours me and my son has played this over the week. gotta say awsome game. We pick this up along with the Dark Knight Rises And we still haven't watched the movie been too busy playing this every night lol.

It's definitely bigger than RDR, and there still is no game bigger than JC2 (Amalur may come close). Panuan took a few minutes to cross even in a jet fighter.

Biggest negative so far is that I've clocked many hours and done many things, but I have yet to unlock a new skill since Tuesday. What does it mean that you have to complete more "missions"? Obviously, hunting, bounty, blue exclamation, stronghold, radio tower missions don't count. An open world game as awesome as this should let me play the missions the way I want and allow me to use my XP. Instead, i'm accumulating useless skill points. Doesn't keep me from having a blast, though. Was playing a story mission, came to a shack with a rattlesnake. Threw a stone into the shack, and the enemy investigated. Rattlesnake got him. Too awesome!

Tarvis covered it but ya, you have to complete a few more missions to unlock more of the skill tree. That's funny about the rattle snake! I was trying to clear an outpost silently myself. Took out two of the five pirates & I was working my way around to the next one...And BAM! A tiger strolls in & clears the whole damn outpost for me! Kitty gets fed & I get credit for clearing the outpost! As far as that flamethrower, I used that thing to kill the required 25 goons & put it away! That thing is dangerous!
