My Panasonic 65GT50 Calibration (Day & Night)

I will be posting my Panasonic GT50 calibrations for both day and night conditions. I will include the settings I am using, as well as the data from my calibrations.

NOTE: The primary change in my "Night" settings is that I went from a gamma target of 2.4, to a 2.2 instead.

Here are my "Day" (bright room) settings.

I calibrated these to achieve 45fL.

Brightness: +56
Color: +45
Tint: 0
Sharpness: +20
Color temp.: Warm2
Color mgmt.: N/A
C.A.T.S.: Off

Color Space: Normal

Motion smoother: Off
1080p pure direct: On (only applies to and can only be adjusted with a 1080p signal)

24p Direct in: 60Hz (only applies to and can only be adjusted with a 1080p signal)

Just curious, how close are your custom calibrated settings with the built in THX settings? Is it really THAT huge of a difference?

I am trying to retrieve my THX readings. I had a computer completely fail last night and I may have lost those files. I may need to take the measurements again, but I will tonight or tomorrow and let you know!

Hey Black ops, I've been using your new night settings for a few days and I like them better than your previous ones. I didn't think I would with the lower gamma settings. I thought it would look to washed out, but I think you've hit these settings spot one. Everything looks so life like and natural. My darker scenes come in much better now. I have the 60" GT50. No need for the day settings for me. My room is pretty much dark all the time. Thanks for posting!

Steelmaker - I have access to some of my earlier cal files, but not the ones I did of THX Cinema's stock settings back in October. So...in order to show how they compare to what I have done with Custom, I will need to get to work and recheck them. Not a problem! The meter is warming up on the screen and I'll take a look at where the THX Cinema stock settings stand in about 30 minutes. It will take me a little longer than that to post the results.

Here is a comparison between my measurements of the stock THX Cinema settings vs my Custom settings. I would like to do two things in the future:

1. Dial my Custom settings in a bit more.
2. Calibrate THX Cinema through the service menu.

...but I'm far too sleepy at the moment.

Though i do not own a GT50 model but your settings would certainly help those who have your model globally !
Hope many members here give out the calibration values for each models they own that is manufactured till this day.Since it will immensely help those who do not have accesses to good calibrators in their locality or country.

What if you, as I, have bought the EU model, and the scale is not the same as for non-EU models. When my scale is in the middle for contrast ie., it says 50. Do I even make sense?

And contrast max out at 70 or 80.
