Agreed. I'm really looking forward to Aliens: Colonial Marines (CE), Dead Space 3, and Tomb Raider (CE) and I already have all three on pre-order. I'll probably pick up Gears of War: Judgment as well.

And then there's Splinter Cell Blacklist coming April 1.

I don't have the game pre-ordered but hearing "Call of Duty meets Aliens" isn't a deal breaker for me.

yeah, im fed up of COD its bland. I was hoping for something more with this game. oh well! another crap Aliens game.

I guess I must have missed something. It's a first person shooter and it appears they have taken a rather straightforward action approach to the game (or at least some of it). I'm not seeing why this is a bad thing.

Im just stating what the previews say! I will wait for a full review but Im kinda expecting more than a call of duty game with aliens in it!

I kind of see where you're coming from, but if I understood those "reviews" correctly, they were based on a 20 minute playing session. I'll wait for a full review of the entire game before I decide whether I want to cancel my pre-order or not.

steve, i was at NYCC this year with my daughter and they had the game there and we played if for a while and we were hooked. it's beautiful to look at, very fluid and sounded pretty nice. of course it will sound so much better at my house on the PS3 slim connected to my 7.1 system.

yes, i only played it for a little while (cause there were hundreds & hundreds waiting their turn) but it was good enough to give me a good enough feeling for the game overall.

yes, we should still wait for a full review (probably a couple) but, having waited this long for it, there is no way i won't buy this when it's released.

of course that's just me. as we get closer to it's release we can expect to see full reviews by the pros & pro-rags!

Thanks for your comments solarrdadd. Always good hearing from you, and I'm jealous that you got to play this and I didn't! I'm still very anxious for this game. I already have the collector's edition on order and paid for. Of course I could always cancel that depending on upcoming reviews, but I have a feeling I won't be cancelling.

This game looks like the game I've been waiting for my whole life. A truly good first person shooter in the ALIENS world. The multi player sounds great. I'm also glad they have taken their time developing the game. Can't wait.
