Default Looking for wireless headphones for in-car use

Our son has a Panasonic 7" widescreen portable DVD player strapped to the headrest in our car for long trips. With his movie on, it gets a little much for my wife and I to talk, or even listen to music ourselves on the radio. We tried to get him to wear headphones, mostly over-the-ear kind my wife uses for her mp3 player, but the wire irritates him.

I'm looking for a relative good quality set of wireless headphones (I don't want to make him listen to tinny, crappy audio) but I don't want to break the bank. I need a kind with a small transmitter that would plug into the headphone jack on the DVD player.

Any suggestions?

not sure you will find any kind of rca jack to wireless solution that is feesible for in car use?

But you could consider DVD Headrest's that come equipped with IR wireless headphones, as well as FM transmitter for car speaker use.

You can see my setup here:

You can find great quality for great price here:

Prices range from ~ $200-$400 (you get two headrest). Installation is fairly simple, so you save even more money putting them in yourself. Or you could pay someone, usually in the $100+ range

I connected my Nintendo Wii and WDTV into mine. My son loves it.

I use to have a portable dvd player, but what a hassle and ugly look. Plus I keep my movies on a hard drive/flash drive. Very convenient, and in the long run well worth it.
