You could always switch out the backing. It's cheap if you use a coupon at Michael's or Hobby Lobby.

Yeah I was about to say, getting some acid-free backing will be like 3-5 bucks at Michaels or HL, and they'll cut it to fit.

Beats 70 bucks for framing.

I bought a cheap $10 frame at target because I want to start framing my posters.
well, it hangs crooked. No matter what. It's so annoying and it makes me want to revert back to my old ways.
Also one side comes out more...if that makes sense?
Is there a special kind of nail I should be using?
Idk why this isn't working but I'm sick of looking at plain walls x]

My mom broke the frame from target, it's a cheap-o, but still.

The top where where bats & Bane are face to face is from Wal Mart - like their house brand. But I've also seen the same one at Michaels. I use that one all through the house for my generic/inexpensive tropical landscape posters etc.

Edit...if memory serves me correctly the 24 x 36 is like $17.

True that...I guess my only questions then are:

-How is the plexiglass from your ebay source? Is it cheap/flimsy like from Walmart, or more substantial?

-The Michaels backing sounds smart coupled with your ebay source, but I would be worried about the Michael's backing being too thick to fit in with the existing frame...what do you think?

if the acid free foamcore is too thick you can find it in thinner 1/8" size. You can also use acid free matboard as a backer if you need to.

Just received this 007 release from Herring & Haggis. They look REALLY nice and are an interesting take on the Bond series.

My buddy just hooked me up with the Django Unchained final and the one sheets of Jaime Foxx, Leo DiCaprio, and Christoph Waltz. The four of them are probably 7.5 out of 10 condition wise, but you know what? Beggars can't be choosers!

One of them has a slight tear at the edge. Anybody know a way to repair this?

If Moss was to do a print such as what he is offering today of all the heroes and villains of the Batman universe, that would be quite a set to have. I personally think he should do it, an 8x10 of Batman, Robin, Catwoman, Commissioner Gordon, Joker, Bane, and every single villain would be pretty cool. I think this is his first offering so perhaps he will continue it, I can't imagine why he wouldn't. I am tempted to buy a set now on the off chance he does more, but if he doesn't and I end up wanting to sell I am quite sure I can get what I paid for on the secondary market at least.

And....I just went ahead and bough a set, $70 shipped.

Oh you are going to LOVE that poster. It's textured (if you have the orginal 2S theatrical ver) the white part to feel like rough paper and Wolverine should be glossy like ink/paint. I just put mine up a few days ago.

The rarest of the four is the IMAX version. Regarding The Dark Knight, the image you provided was of the "wilding" style which only came single-sided so technically it was "official" but simply not one of the theatrical styles. These were not found in movie theaters, rather up at construction sites, etc to promote the film. Also the paper the studio used to print them wasn't as thick as a standard movie poster, but the problem you face is because they were only single-sided, they can easily be faked or reprinted and it can be difficult to tell. I would have to speculate that there are a fair amount of knock-off's of this style out there so you really have to be on your toes.

However, what some may not know, is this same artwork was used again on the 2009 re-release style. Warner Brothers ended up doing a limited re-release into theaters as a pre-Oscar push in January 2009, and for that release the studio had a new movie poster printed and it featured this same artwork. They also added the movie's credits at the bottom and the poster was made double-sided and featured in those theaters that were offering screenings of the re-release. It is a VERY rare style, and thus, very expensive if it can be found (more info in the private message I am sending you). An image of the poster is below:

Bingo- you got it right. I had seen a 2 sided theatrical of that image, it did show up around the Oscar re-release. Also I never knew that Bane (w/ bat cowl) was rare so to speak. Humm.

I just got mine and opened it and noticed that the front of the poster is only glossy on the image and the background has a ruff texture to it. That is the first time I have seen that.

I can't decide if I want to pull the trigger or not on that Olly set. I want them, but at the same time I can live without them. BUT...if he's planning to do more Batman baddies, then I MUST have them!
