Dunno why MGM and Fox haven't gone ahead and released the last of the Hitchcock/Selznick productions, The Paradine Case. Even the DVD is now OOP.

Oh, great!
I was thinking of purchasing those 3. Now i hope the box set is much cheaper than the 3 combined..

I'd much rather have another movie than Notorious, Rebecca, and Spellbound packaged together. I'd still likely get them separately since I prefer movies that aren't a series to be in individual cases, and it's entirely possible they will go on sale once the collection is released.

Believe it or not, they kinda grow on you. They remind me a lot of The Maltese Falcon cover that way.

Yeah, fairly lazy they're just re-releasing these. I was hoping some studios would release more Hitchcock titles to tie in with that Anthony Hopkins movie's home video release. Hopefully this isn't a sign that MGM/Fox aren't going to release more. I'm sure at least Lifeboat and The Paradine Case are marketable titles to cinema fans. Not really sure if the other titles they have the rights to would make them enough dough to be released on their own. I was hoping for a box set when I read this title.

Lifeboat would be a Criterion if released next year, right? I thought they had the rights now.
Glad I held off on Rebecca too, be nice to get three in one. And check me in for wanting to see Hitchcock, but it's looking less likely since I'm in eastern Kentucky. Not exactly big money making territory for movies like Hitchcock. |

Criterion does have the rights to Foreign Correspondent (which previously belonged with Warner) and will be releasing The Man Who Knew Too Much ('34) in a few weeks, but I haven't heard of them releasing any other Hitchcock titles. |

I haven't heard about Criterion having the rights to release Lifeboat anywhere, either. It could make sense seeing as it's a Fox release, and they didn't see fit to release it with their MGM Hitchcocks. But that doesn't mean anything concrete either as Lifeboat was not an MGM pickup.
The next Hitch Criterion release for sure is The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934). Foreign Correspondent, due to its presence on the Hulu+ channel, seems to be on deck. In the hole is a guessing game. |

I love it when I procrastinate on buying Blu-Rays I want and then they collect them for me, for cheaper.
