USA Rocko's Modern Life: The Complete Series - Feb 26, 2013

On 2/26/13, Shout Factory will release the complete series of the classic Nickelodeon cartoon series Rocko's Modern Life on an 8 disk set. It is currently $29.99 on amazon

http://www.amazon.com/Rockos-Modern-Life-Complete-Series/dp/B00AIANIPQ/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=2GAJ9HGOXFXR 4&coliid=I3196R0B82R6ZK

From the shout factory website:

ALL 4 COMPLETE SEASONS! 52 EPISODES! EXTRAS! ORIGINAL ART BY JOE MURRAY!

What’s a wallaby to do when he’s surrounded by annoying neighbors, freeloading pals, heaps of laundry and the weight of life in general? Why, turn to his loyal canine, Spunky, dim-witted best pal, Heffer and neurotic nay-sayer Filburt to help him confront the trials and tribulations of modern life.

Created by Joe Murray (Camp Lazlo, Frog In A Suit) and starring Carlos Alazraqui (CatDog, RENO 911), Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Mr. Lawrence (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Charlie Adler (Aaahh!!! Real Monsters), Rocko’s Modern Life originally aired in 1991 on Nickelodeon and has since become a cult favorite all around the world. One of the few brilliant cartoons to break through the genre and emerge as a truly original television experience, Rocko inspires the artist in us all!

THAT WAS A HOOT!

Bundle Contains:
Rocko's Modern Life: Rocko's Modern Life: The Complete Series
Rocko's Modern Life: Rocko's Lithograph
Bonus Features:
“Wacky Deli” Live 2012 With Joe Murray And The Cast
Behind-The-Characters Shorts
Season 3 Selected Scene Commentary By Joe Murray
“Trash-O-Madness” Original Pilot Version

I hope shout does the same with Aaahh!!! Real Monsters and Angry Beavers now that their final seasons are coming up in 2013. I just wish they got ahold of Doug, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Clarissa Explains It All, and Salute Your Shorts. At least with shout's help these shows are starting to see the light of day

I will for sure be getting this! That's a pretty good price compared to buying all the seasons separately.

That would be pretty expensive to do. These DVDs though are fine the way they are for now for a show I was watching when I was only 3 years old. But anyways I got the 1st 2 seasons on DVD from Shout! Factory, but now I want this collection.

Yeah, but I figure there are things of lesser quality that get the blu-ray treatment, so why not?

Anyway, like I said, I'll be nabbing this

Now if only these releases were the original uncut versions. With the risque jokes restored.

Bat-Mite: "Batman's rich history allows him to be interpreted in a multitude of ways. To be sure, this is a lighter incarnation, but is certainly no less valid and true to the character's roots then the tortured avenger, crying out for mommy and daddy."

Batman: The Brave & The Bold - Legend of the Dark Mite.

Unfortunately, Shout was provided with the cut masters from Nickelodeon. Apparently, all the uncut footage no longer exists any more. A shame but they definitely tried to secure it early on.

Yeah. Thankfully the number and severity of cuts is minor compared to some shows.

Yeah, exactly. Fortunately, there's still plenty of politically incorrect humor found in many of the cut episodes of "Rocko's Modern Life" that still make it a hoot to watch.

You know there are some scenes that were not banned that I thought would have been banned but are not especially from the 1st Season.

Well what's more expensive, remastering a low budget movie or a whole cartoon series from the early 1990s?

Now if we could only get that last season of The Adventures of Pete and Pete.

It's a shame how Nickelodeon has treated most of their properties. It's like, if it isn't Spongebob it gets sent to a vault, never to be spoken of again. They produced some amazing material in the 90s that still stands up, it's too bad they don't try to re-incorporate some of it into the network.

do you have TeenNick? they have late night blocks called "The 90's are All That" where they have marathons of various shows. plus at least Shout is treating the properties right. I'm hoping for a complete series set of Aaahh Real Monsters and Angry Beavers soon

Best pricing seems to be import CDs. $22.28 shipped, but I don't get why it is listed as a heavy item and charging more for shipping

I'm out of the loop, but just realized the voice of Rocko is the same guy who was Garcia on Reno 911. And looking over his list of work on IMDB, he's stayed quite busy and picked some good projects over his career. Loved this show as a kid and have been watching my first season dvd set. The complete series would be nice, too.
Detective Cameron: I got good news and bad news, girls. The good news is your dates are here.
Sorority Sister: What's the bad news?
Detective Cameron: They're dead.
